Yeah it's becuase the gp1 on the 06+ r6 still has the huge cat under the bike which keeps it still pretty quite. The 06-07 gsxr slip ons remove the cat.

you can always tell a r6 vs a gsxr. just my opinion but but I think the gp1 sounds better on a gixxer
