@209paul1 Remember, prepping the lawin before cutting is the key to enjoying this mower! If you have to stop and pick sticks out of the blades every other push, then you are not going to enjoy this at all! But once you've picked up all the twigs and things that can stop the blades, you will enjoy it. My yard is in terrible shape this year. I have oak trees and tend to drop a lot of twigs. Once those are picked up, it's smooth sailing!
@steppehunter You are certainly welcome! Remember, depending on how high your grass is, is the key to this type of mower working properly. You may have to cut it with a power mower the first cut of the season if the grass is already higher than the blades can cut. Be sure to prepare the lawn before cutting by picking up all debris that may jam the blades.
It may not be for everyone but it definitely works for me! My best part of it is that it is quiet. You can mow your lawn at 6:00 in the morning and you are not going to disturb anyone sleeping. One thing I've learned is that it really helps to spray down the blades with WD40 before and after cutting. It keeps the grass from collecting on the blades and makes for an easier push.
The first two or three times you use it, it may seem a bit stiff. It's like breaking in a pair of new shoes. Also the higher you set the blade, the easier it will push, since it's cutting smaller pieces of the blades of grass. If it seems too stiff, just raise level of the cut. There's a lever on each wheel that makes it a snap.
Thanks for adding your video - I am considering reel mowers and was curious how loud this mower is and how effective it is - your video demonstrates that it works well in taller grass and isn't loud at all.
It works well on grass up to about 6 - 8 inches. Twice I had to get out the Weed Eater and go over two areas where some tall spindly grass had sprung up. I broke my yard into fourths, and every day I would cut a fourth each day for four days, then left it all alone for three days. I chose to do it this way so that I would force myself to get some daily exercise (I sit behind a desk all day).
It has been so hot here this summer (southeast Georgia) that yard work is not any fun, regardless of what mower you use!

Thanks for the demo! I've read a lot of good review about this make / model of reel mower. I'm going to Home Depot to pick one up tomorrow.

Good demo. Change the name and you may get more hits on your video. Try "Scott's Reel Mower".
