Pretty much nothing mayor, cos even the oil pan is interchangeable with the RD28, the trans u can use the L series same bell housing pattern. We have one on stock standard type 800 543-2476
@STCSoshin Thanks , I am in South Africa . The motor was never sold here . Got one imported from Japan , but it needs head gasket . Overhaulin the complete motor , then installing it in a 1986 Isuzu Trooper - also imported.
Wenas, yo tengo un nissan patrol top line rd28T.115cv. carroseria260 del 90. ya tiene 20 años y 234.mil,km. y va muy bien y lo que mas megusta es cuando le pisas el silvido del turbo y como sopla el escape.jejej. y si le pones llantas7"x15 con neumaticos 255/75R15.... la suspencion de +5cm en altura, y mas dura que la original. y ya te puedo decir que para ser un 4x4 y ser alto puede entrar en las curbas y sorprenderte, y sin moverse la carroseria no se inclina hacia un lado se mantiene mas.
le adapte este motor a un impala SS y sorprendentemente a fondo llego a las 100 Millas por hora,parece increible.Me surgio la posibilidad de cambiarlo y ahora le coloque un DS33 turbo,corrigiendo el rodado casi pisa las 120Millas/ hora
Tengo este motor RD28 versión 1996, instalado en mi Mercedes y es una seda. Tira muy bien, no vibra casi nada, sonido excelente y caja de transmisión automática Jatco RL4.
Rendimiento sobre 12 km/lt a 100 km/h.
Hasta la fecha, después de 2 años montado un siete con mayúscula.

this is the 2.8 litre diesel, found in Laurels (note the intake manifold) the 2.8 is a turbo version on patrols (has top mount intercooler, diff pipe work) the 4.2 and 4.2turbo are differnt altogether.

Wonderful sound))) I like the sound of this engine which is fitting on Nissan Laurel, Gloria and Cedric and sometimes on old Skylines))))

Too thick oil and engine cold - lifter pumped up momentarily and held valve slightly off seat
