I've been lucky to have served with the Latvians in both Kosovo & FYROM and can say they are a highly professional bunch. it was a Honour to serve with WO2 Orse Zile. I was also lucky to be on tour at the same time as my cousin in the Transport Corps of the Irish Army who was at Banki Rid near Skopje Airport. Again a top bunch, who knew what to do and when to it.

why there are ss? it has nothing to do with national armed forces. there were latvians in red army as well as in german army during ww2. kāpēc jāparāda latvijas armija kā fašisti? pietiek jau ka krievi ar savu propogandu to visur bazūnē. jā, bija waffen ss, bija leģions, mans vectēvs bija leģionā. otrs mans vectēvs bija sarkanajā armijā. latvieši vienmēr nostājas pretējās pusēs, tāpat kā 1.pas.karā.
