I will probably not be doing any more AVA guides anytime soon. I haven't even played the game for a very long time. I simply lost interest in it.

I don't hear his footsteps at 4:33 - 4:37. Was there a discreet difference in environment sounds? I haven't tried toggling with the reverb feature either. Can you explain what it does? I did some research but still remain perplexed by it

Admittedly, the footsteps are quite faint, but they are there. Your sound setup will matter a lot. Do you have decent headphones/earphones, or are you using something else? In this video, it doesn't help that there's ambient noise.

Reverb options in video games (theoretically) add a very slight echo to sounds -- something that happens naturally in real life. I don't know for sure if it makes a difference in this game.

Wow. I don't play many FPS games, but all I do it run into enemy territory and shoot whoever I find. As you might imagine, not the best idea.

Is there any disadvantage if you put your silencer on?

Yes. Damage and/or range are reduced quite a bit. The recoil "pattern" also changes, although I guess that can be good or bad.

Maybe you already know this, but I'll say it anyway. The main benefit to the silencer is that the enemy doesn't see which direction he's being hit from. So it's bad to silence in a head-on fight, but a little better if you're flanking or shooting from a weird angle.

First, you can only put a silencer on certain guns. Most (not all) SMGs can use it, as can the P226 (pistol).

To put on or take off the silencer, the default key is V. That's it. V. If the gun doesn't support a silencer, nothing will happen.

It's not a customize item. If you always want a silencer, you'll have to put it on every time you respawn with V. Even non-customized guns can use it.

I assume you're talking about the Bizon? Just go into a game, hold the Bizon, and press V. If it doesn't work, go into your options and check which key it is. It might've been changed.

Bizon: Burst Barrel, Custom Cylinder, 9mm Magazine

M4A1: Burst Barrel II, Prototype Grip, Recoil Control Stock

Sako: Recoil Control Stock

SV-98: Precision Scope, 7.62x54R Barrel, Precision Trigger

Pointman: I only like the Bizon. The AKM is also popular if you're okay with the recoil.

Rifleman: I use the Sako, but the AK (powerful) and M4 (accurate & stable) are both very good.

Sniper: TPG-1 has the best chance for a one-hit killshot to the body. SV-98 is also okay. The other choices are less than optimal.

Everyone has their favorites though. Take a look at the Weapon Discussion forum on the official AVA forums.
