I have no idea why I'm replying to youtube comments but here goes. Liz Fraser was chosen specifically because of her singing style. For those unfamiliar with her previous work (Cocteau Twins), dream-pop bands often had fairly subdued vocals.

And I'm sure that this particular track is especially difficult for her to sing given that it was recorded days after receiving news that a close friend had died.

The person who commented on the Dr. House intro.. that's because it is. lol. The person who said it's fake, lol. Why is it fake? Because the video is a little bit earlier than the sound? You can see the drummer playing parts of the cymbals that clearly do not sound like the original song. And to the person who crits that she can't sing.. Live performances aren't as important with singing as the recording. The little imperfections in a live show offer the reminder that they're still humans.

Agreed on all accounts. Stimulating and fundamental shift in perception and time. And yes the vocals needed a boost. The reverb and delay is fabulous! but drowns out what is meant to be heard.. Otherwise, a beautiful composition ;-)

@shugalluful she sounds like her voice is tired or sick with a cold. its very difficult for a singer to sing over and over on concerts. thats why only very few are able to sing very well on concerts while others lip sync
