@Beatelectrico I think the actual game uses a custom colour map set on the graphic card so it isn't this dark and can simulate overbright surfaces cheaply, it's the failure of capture software not taking it into account when recording the video. Many old games did the same, modern games don't do that.

Just FYI, a lot of sound-editing software (Audacity included, I think) will let you do what's called "autoducking" so that when you stop talking, the game audio automatically increases in volume. It'll make it easier to hear convos and stuff.
