This is fucking stupid. You mirror some oneelses exsisting work, loop a shitty offtime guitar melody, add some humming and a jump scare chord straight off of Lou Reeds Heavey Metal Machine Music's playbook. I could crap this shit out in a week.
Whether or not is is an accordion or some one humming it still sounds like shit. This Dadaist shit is not art, at least not meaningful art. Not much skill involved here.
To each his own. I am into sound design and I pick out things like this. The video itself is kind of cool but it isnt all that impressive. I think thats why it is only an honorable mention. I was led here by the other videos of the guy taking horror movies and mucking them up a bit. Looked like plagiarism at first you know?
A bit too experimental for me, but still very good none the less. 1:32 creeped the shit out of me, but was also the moment I really started enjoying it. The ending was brilliant, never thought I'd enjoy an experimental film of 4 minutes this much. :) Keep doing what you do, you're good at it!
Well, that was something else. :)

Yeah you might also want to mention that the footage is all taken from Akira Kurosawa's Rashomon.

@homicidemanex Yes i understand but i was talking more about the music and not the movie! I care less about the visual aspect.

Read your interview in Dazed and found this beautifully haunting piece. You really push Kurosawa's material here. The tension is transcendental.

absolutely fabulous

just great.
.. that´s finally an awesome way how to deal with digital possibilities / the medium. saw also your short "long live the new flesh" at the berlinale.
funny and also quite annoying how many people react who call themselves "cineastes" or media-based interested
