Yeah i admit a lot of dogs find a way to save their master but if your like me and you love cats and us people who love cats dont buy them! we find them on the streets and save THEIR lives i want to save animals!Cats want love too! if i had to choose beetween those two i would say cat because their the ones who need us the most or they will just die of hunger or something like that if we dont help them! Hi, I like both cats and dogs. Right now i have a kitty cat. She doesnt only see me as a source of food cause when i get home she runs up to me, she wants to play all the time and when she tires she snuggles up next to me. When I was ill she was staying next to me on the bed, snuggled up or licked me arm. Cats have a personality too and they love you as well. :)

@shellyharakas Dogs are extremely devoted to their owners and they would die for you. I've heard of many dogs saving their humans' lives, I have never once heard of a cat doing so. Dogs would be the first animal to protect you if you were in danger. Trust me, if you have a dog, you feel a lot safer like nothing can hurt you; even with a small dog. My yorkie is 10 pounds but with her by my side I feel safe at all times. Don't get me wrong, I love cats; but I prefer dogs because dogs are amazing.
I have grew up with 5 cats and 1 dog called lola who was always helpful and affectionate. After my mum died when i was 11 lola could always tell when i was sad and comfort me whereas the cats didnt seem to care. She was an amazing dog and has even saved my life. I think most of the people posting bad things about dogs have never owned one. I have had horrible things happen to me in the past and if it wasnt for lola i probably would have killed myself years ago. Cats are good pets too of course

Whatever dumbhead. Cats are way better than dogs. Cats clean themselves. You have to wash a dog then they smell for a week becasue of "the wet dog" stench. Dogs wolf down their food while cats only eat what they need. Dogs chew on EVERYHING. Cats only play with their toys and occasionally scratch furniture but thats why they have scrathcing posts. Cats use litter boxes while you have to let a dog outside every 30 minutes so they can go to the bathroom. I own cats and dogs. Dogs are worse.
not gonna lie. Our family has 2 cats and 1 dog. Honestly, being an owner of both, I'm much more of a dog person then the cats. The cats are sort of just...there...like a lamp on a table or a plant in the corner of the house. The dog stop's being viewed as a "pet" and turns into a family within moments. Kids being asked "who's in your family" will normally add their dog in, never their other pets like cats. Go ask a child in schools and see if you hear that, its interesting.

I've grown up with both cats and dogs. I don't know much about cat breed but I've grown up with three Rotties. Oso, Bonnie, and Abraham. I loved them dearly and may they rest in peace. Now I have a red Border Collie with my girlfriend named Chico.

@shellyharakas Dogs are extremely devoted to their owners and they would die for you. I've heard of many dogs saving their humans' lives, I have never once heard of a cat doing so. Dogs would be the first animal to protect you if you were in danger. Trust me, if you have a dog, you feel a lot safer like nothing can hurt you; even with a small dog. My yorkie is 10 pounds but with her by my side I feel safe at all times. Don't get me wrong, I love cats; but I prefer dogs because dogs are amazing.

I have grew up with 5 cats and 1 dog called lola who was always helpful and affectionate. After my mum died when i was 11 lola could always tell when i was sad and comfort me whereas the cats didnt seem to care. She was an amazing dog and has even saved my life. I think most of the people posting bad things about dogs have never owned one. I have had horrible things happen to me in the past and if it wasnt for lola i probably would have killed myself years ago. Cats are good pets too of course

Holy crap. You guys are all pathetic. All animals are great. It's the same with kids as it is animals: if the parent/owner is irresponsible and can't manage their child/pet, then that child/pet is going to turn out a bad apple. I myself prefer dogs over cats mainly because I'm allergic to cats. If I didn't have allergies though, I would buy a cute kitty friend for my Yorkie (which itself is probably a bad idea, but he get's very lonely, I'm sure he wouldn't mind the extra company).

Whatever dumbhead. Cats are way better than dogs. Cats clean themselves. You have to wash a dog then they smell for a week becasue of "the wet dog" stench. Dogs wolf down their food while cats only eat what they need. Dogs chew on EVERYHING. Cats only play with their toys and occasionally scratch furniture but thats why they have scrathcing posts. Cats use litter boxes while you have to let a dog outside every 30 minutes so they can go to the bathroom. I own cats and dogs. Dogs are worse.

not gonna lie. Our family has 2 cats and 1 dog. Honestly, being an owner of both, I'm much more of a dog person then the cats. The cats are sort of just...there...like a lamp on a table or a plant in the corner of the house. The dog stop's being viewed as a "pet" and turns into a family within moments. Kids being asked "who's in your family" will normally add their dog in, never their other pets like cats. Go ask a child in schools and see if you hear that, its interesting.

I've owned both before.
Granted...the dogs require much more attention/maintenance.
Owning a cat is kinda unsanitary I believe.

@duck24x its in every human and animals best intrest to try to improve living conditions and to insure the survial of a species of course without murdering etc. a dog thinks its part of the "pack", i dont convince/trick dogs to be apart of my family. i dont teach dogs to protect my property/family ect...you know this. it all started with humans giving wild dogs and wolves the left over food. the animal gained a important factor FREE FOOD. the unreplaceable bond began.
