Man I NEED this gadget! 3 of my 4 lights sets were half out this year >:-( I get one for next year, they were sold out everywhere in my town this year!
@psychosara1727 We are sorry to hear that you went through the holiday season with light issues! LightKeeper Pro cannot wait to help! Yes, we did sell out at many of our retail locations, but you always have the option to purchase online whether directly from us on our lightkeeperpro website or one of our online merchants.
@dya76tube Actually the LED Keeper will continue to be a separate product from the LightKeeper Pro. So each will still be required for each type of set (LED vs Incandescent). In other words, the LightKeeper Pro will still only fix incandescent miniature light sets and the LED Keeper will only fix LED light sets.
Merry Christmas to you as well from all of us here and have a safe and happy new year!
Great product ! I repair all day some of my lights, some from the Christmas tree other from outdoor decorations and I'm happy I made them to function again, but other lights I can't repair,LightKeeperPro doesn't work on led lights.
@dya76tube That is correct..the LightKeeper Pro does not work on LEDs. However, GREAT NEWS: We will be introducing our very own LED Keeper next year to the market. This will fix LEDs!
This gadget is amazing!! I highly recommend it. I see a few comments where some people couldn't get their lights to work. Something must be wrong with the string other than dead bulbs. This thing worked on all my strings that had bad bulbs. The only thing I would change on this thing is that it runs on button cells. It would be much better if it ran on common AA or AAA so we could use be green and use rechargables!
@starguard Actually, the LightKeeper Pro is safe! The little electrical pulse is only meant to burn that oxide coating off in the light bulb which is not powerful enough to hurt anyone. The anticipation would probably scare you more than the actual feeling of the pulse. However, like any tool, we suggest that the directions are read thoroughly and the LightKeeper Pro is used accurately.
Ok I tried this little dilly on a bad section of pre-lit garland and nothing, the pulse thing did not do anything for me, the continuity test portion beeps where there are no lights on but does not where there are lights, what gives. i think it's great for checking bulbs and that seems to be all.
@Lorddarthvader1701@Lorddarthvader1701 The LightKeeper Pro's continuity tester will beep even if the lights are not lit. This is because the continuity tester senses 120V in the set which is a good thing. From this, you know that your light set's issue isn't the fuse. Just because the lights are unlit, does not mean they aren't working and there isn't electricity present. This continuity tester does not work on working light sets, which is why is does not beep on the lit bulbs. (888-ULTA-LIT)
@LightKeeperPro Ok, weird, I stand corrected, I tested the pulse again and it worked on some other lights, the garland set blinked a couple of bulbs but no fix, I am going to work on this section later on the bench, it's now personal and I love a challenge. The beeps happen when there are lights and also when there are not, no pattern with this garland set, very strange.
I bought this item during the Christmas season at Target. I was alittle confused at first until I watched this video - then it answered all of my questions. I rescued several failing lights - they all worked now thanks to this product. I also fixed my neighbors icicle light set that partially worked (it was already hung on his roof) -- I'm his Hero now. Thank you for this great product :-)
For me this product did not work. The sensor told me all of the lights were working when one wasn't. Also the clicker does not work on all of the set of lights I had out.
This thing is amazing. I bought it and fixed 12 light strands last years! I bought it for like $17 and saved way more than that in cost of new lights. Great product!
I did sometime have to push the trigger about 50 times for some strands but who cares, whats 30 seconds if you get the lights to work :-)
I was irritated tonight when I put up my tree and found sections of lights out. I went to the local Walgreens at 9:20 pm and found your LightKeeper Pro there after I had found this video. I bought it making darn sure I would be able to return it If it didn't work. I came home, pulled out a bulb, put the empty socket in the gun thingy, pulled the trigger a few times and now the tree that had four sections of lights out is fully lit and it worked MARVELOUSLY!
The sensor beeping along the wire seems to have nothing to do with whether the section is lit or not. Perhaps there is a sensitivity adjustment but mine doesn't work like it should.
"fix it and get on with Christmas"" -ah thats a great line!.Good delivery..Too bad he doesn't have a jersey or long island accent..How bouts a some Tony S in that line
The LightKeeper's Quick Fix Trigger is not designed for Lightsets with Control Boxes. The pulse is stopped by the control Box. You may be able to use the Voltage Detector if you set the fuction to steady on and scan the bulbs that are our to find the point of current interuption.

One of the best products I have ever bought. Works like magic. American ingenuity at its best.

How is it possible to fix it. Not "magically" speaking, but electronically. It sends a pulse, but what does it do to make the connection?
Thanks!
