@harrisjac I would argue that while what you are saying is true ~ as far as being influenced by jamaican music... I think you would have to be pretty clueless to think that it's not equally influenced by rap, and rave music in general.. (that should go without saying)
@harrisjac its been influenced by alot of genres and Jamaican isn't the biggest. the raps been influenced by rap (mainly uk hip hop) and the beats came from garage/dancehall (i'd say it has more roots in rap than Jamaican dancehall).
also some other influances are drum & bass and punk.
