  • Good music! guitar player has a mega comb over!

  • Holy Crap!!!!!!!!!

  • Always thought that one fella looked like Howard Finkel with hair lmao

  • I saw these guys in Greensboro NC back in early 80's. I was just starting to play and these guys became a big influence.

  • I recognise that backdrop, Its at the Augusta Heritage Center in Elkins WVA

  • As great as brother Bryan is, what makes this just about the best version ever of this tune is the great, great arrangement. No one else in bluegrass history ever worked out such elaborate arrangements of fiddle tunes as these three, but for all the complexity, they swing like there's no tomorrow!

  • I just saw a tape last night on KET where they performed this in Owensboro Ky at the Romp Festival. It is scary good!

  • Great video,thanks for sharing.

Nobody plays "Forked Deer" better than Byron Berline on the fiddle.

  • @greekflatpicker So true.

  • I wish I had this show on video. I SO loved watching it growin up.

  • i remember hearing this tune on an old county record played by Major Franklin back in the seventies. these guys just tear it up! and i loved that little minor snippet dan slipped in, the little scamp!

  • He was Stuart Duncan before before Stuart was. Great video, thanks for posting it.

  • Is this the old "Fire on the Mountain" show on TNN? I'd love to see more.
