I think what Jonathon and Russell said to Andrew was stupid and I agree that it over-stepped the line, but I don't think they meant to cause anyone upset. There could be some truth in that. There are a lot of middle-aged people who like to pretend they are hip and down-with-the-kids (Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross are great examples). This can and often does result in parents, teachers or celebrities excusing, or even celebrating, the excessive behaviour of many (but not all) of today's teens. No, Sayuri did not, and no, I did not, do not, and would not have disagree(d) with that sentiment.
Sayuri said that ALL people want those things. It is to that which I responded. All people do not want the things Sayuri listed. It really is that simple. I'm not sure why you're having difficulty understanding this. Perhaps you're being disingenuous? Who knows.
