Osama is not the baddest terrorist out there. The terrorists in Iraq kidnap their own countrymen, holding them for ransom. They've kidnapped visitors from other countries and threatened to behead them. It is the terrorists who are killing most of the Iraqis. This video actually could be used to support the war. The soldiers aren't the ones blowing up bombs in crowded marketplaces. World War Two was the last time that the central command authorized bombings in specific civilian areas. War is hell but if we leave things probably would get even more violent. What's the only thing hampering terrorist attacks in Iraq? It's our troops. We also saved the lives of anybody who would have gotten executed by Saddam Hussein had he not been removed from office.

It's been a long time since American soldiers fought to protect Americans. Korea? Nope. 'Nam? Nope. Grenada? Panama? Iraq? Lebanon? Afghanistan? If it weren't for civilian protests, we might still be in Vietnam! By the way, if we're fighting for freedom for Iraqis then we should be more tolerant of different views here. Tree hugger isn't a good insult, without trees we'd die from CO2 poisoning and the air is generally better to breathe in the country than the city. The military's job is to protect and serve American civilians, the work you do in Iraq is not necessary for Americans, the Iraqi's might appreciate it though!

My uncles were in the Army. Alot of vets here who don't hesitate to let you know who they lost and what they saw in during war. Plus with the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division the heart of our small town you grow up with the military as part of every day life. You don't hear people here not wanting to send more troops and some of the lastest things that cause the ground to rumble bigger then an earthquake.

It pisses me off these supposed soldiers that refused to go to Afganistan or Iraq claiming they didn't join the military to serve the needs of what our country might demand of them but just to get some money for college. Honestly vietnameravet if you were in Iraq right now and Bush wanted to send more troops to Iraq would you say no? Would it piss you off hearing civilians say we don't need more troops in Iraq?

My father and his 3 brothers all served in Vietnam. My first home as a baby was Barbers Point, then off to the Philippines for several years still just a baby and then the true punishment for any child whose father serves the Navy, the Mojave Desert in California. The reward, seeing the things they deny flying over the house.

People rationed, bought bonds and publicly showed support so our enemies knew it was a nation as one they were fighting. Thousands of soldiers died on one beach in one day and people today forget the lives lost. I am not saying that men are expendable and their lives are nothing more then pawns but that is the way commanders of troops look at it. How many casualties will we have compared to them. It is a shame but those are the facts of combat.

Israel has a mandatory military service; men are required to serve for 3 years and women for 2 years. Sorry vietnameravet that we asked you to go fight some where for our nation and you weren't treated with the respect you and your fellow soldiers deserved regardless if that fight was wrong or right. It bothers me that in every military campaign no body dared spoke against our troops or our President until Vietnam.

This is fantastic. In an odd sort of way the video answers the song's question: war is good for producing this sort of art. It's also good for inspiring pacifism on a large scale, my favourite use.
The video's fantastically made. I was fascinated to read about the "One week a month" policy. Thank you for including pictures from Palestine. What has been done to those people is arguably the greatest atrocity of my generation's lifetime.
