  • Can a 40 s&w that has been converted to 9mm be used in esp?

  • @rbbmychannel Yes, assuming it meets all other requirements to be legal in the division.

  • @rbbmychannel rbb - If the conversion involves swapping barrels and mags, yes.

  • You said any external modification kicks you out of ssp.. I run a m&p 45 that from the factory came with a safety. When I bought it, the safety was already removed and the block was installed to cover the safety hole. They sell the m&p 45 without a safety from the factory. Does that means I still qualify for ssp in idpa and limited 10 in uspsa?

  • @maniakaz maniak - If the gun came from the factory with a thumb safety, removing it would prevent the gun from being used in any division of IDPA. USPSA specifically allows deactivation of grip safeties, outside of Production division, but I suspect removal of the thumb safety will prevent you from using the gun in USPSA, either. Of course, a similar gun that comes from the factory without a thumb safety would be legal.

  • Good info. The IDPA and IPSC should have links to your videos.

  • I cracked up regarding the comment about 10mm and Bill Wilson. I believe Bill has gone on record to say that he dislikes the 10mm and he previously refused to support it in his product line. I always wondered why I had to shoot my 10mm in ESP. Guess he just didn't want it to compete with his .45's

  • Caleb. what holster is that on your 5.25?
