There's a a mirror left on the moon by the astronauts. Astronomerso from every part of the world can hit it with a laser and recieve it back, measuring the distance of the Moon from the Earth. This is the proof (apart the rocks and the huge number of people that should have involved in the conspirancy) that the moon landings happened.
The Moon is too close to fake a landing while a mars mission would be easier to fake.
