Israel has existed since 2000 BCE, until it was invaded by Egypt and its people became displaced and later enslaved. Egypt would eventually lose this territory to invading Hurrians and Hittites. Hittite is recognizes as one of the people who resided in the ancient land before the Hebrew people returned.

When the Hebrew people returned with the help of the Native Canaanites, the Phoenicians, they massacred the Hurrians, Amorites, and Hittites that had settled in the area.

The Philistines are not Canaanites, tyrannos is one of the words we've found in their language. Tyrannos is not a semite word, it is Greek and it is what the Philistine people called Hebrew-Israelite Kings.

The Arab name for the region is Filastin, which stems from Phillistia. Palestine stems from the Hebrew word "p'lishtm" The Philistines were not the only people called invaders.

@Conguano That particular book is debated among historians. There was a massive influx of Jews the last century. But, there were always jews in that place. Numbers are not interesting. And, there was an influx of arabs as they are not indigenous to that country.

No one questioned the book when it was released in the US and Joan Peters did 240 TV appearances in 1985. When the book was released in Britain it was blown out of the water by historians. Even in the 1880's most of the 25,000 Jews in Palestine were elderly and came from Europe to die in there ancestral homeland.
