@RDoubt96 What I CAN tell...(you particularly) is that the whole underlining purpose behind establishing the Ummah was due to Jay Dee's beat-making prowess, hence the dramatic style change of their production from the first three classics, to the last two. All three of Q-tip's solo albums were Dilla produced wether credits were slashed alongside Q-tip's or not. Now it's all about Robert Glasper, who's basically the jazz equivalent. Tip even phoned Robert and suggested a Dilla tribute.
