@RDoubt96 What I CAN tell...(you particularly) is that the whole underlining purpose behind establishing the Ummah was due to Jay Dee's beat-making prowess, hence the dramatic style change of their production from the first three classics, to the last two. All three of Q-tip's solo albums were Dilla produced wether credits were slashed alongside Q-tip's or not. Now it's all about Robert Glasper, who's basically the jazz equivalent. Tip even phoned Robert and suggested a Dilla tribute.
U literally must be on crack if shitted on this album. Or either some white kid from the burbs who thought rap sounded like Lil Wayne or sum otha shitty POP rap artist.
@Lesbians14 ... I'm assuming you are old enough to know better if know about this album. Your reading comprehension is at a super low-low. My comment simply talks about how great this album is and drawing comparison to the latest wack crappers like LIL Wayne who garners alot of support from suburban white kids who were not around when the REAL hip-hop sound from the 90's was produced. Next time learn to read or take yo meds before making such a ridiculous comment.
@RadReese73 aight sorry. N no I am not old enough to know how it was when real hiphop was there cause I was born in 91. But my point is i'm tired of people saying shit about white kids from the suburbs its so fuckin stereotipical. I mean sure the biggest majority of good hip hop is from the afro-americans but it's not a culture reserved to black people. Just take a look at Paul C, El-P, Slug, Beastie Boys, Danger Mouse etc.
@desbiens14 hip hop is not sterotypical. ur just making it that way. its about who gets the "crowd jumpin". dont front and say people need to share the music, just respect it
