Idina and Sara have very different voices, so it's hard to compare.

I disagree saying Idina doesn't belt (listen to the Original Broadway Cast version of "Take Me or Leave Me" from RENT...then tell me that girl can't belt), but Sara can definitely belt higher than Idina can.

But Sara also sings in a more operatic style than Idina.

Both are wonderful singers and actresses =)

Idina's voice (in my opinion) is just very thin, lacks vibrato, and is vulnerable during long runs of a vocally demanding show (Wicked, for instance). It's not that I hate her voice, it's just not my favorite.

And she doesn't belt -- She does a mixed voice.
