OBSERVATION: I LOVE THE STORY.... BUT SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE VIDEO QUALITY... I WISH IT WAS ALOT CLEARER AND THE TRANSLATION IS TOO SMALL TO READ

Shangri-La is in the himalayais. It was the only place that wasn't consumed be the Great cycle,it became the seed of the world,the Garden of Eden. The next great cycle is upon us once again,this is why the massive dam constuction project is taking place in the Himalayias ,they are not for producing energy.

though I believe this isn't a Chinese story.. Shangri-La is a fictional place in the 1933 British novel Lost Horizon by James Hilton.
