sorry m8, but the ashes name came from the urn which they use as a trophy, which contains the burnt bails of a cricket wicket, the letter's a way of saying that england lost that series, as they had won every other series before then. the ashes will be taken to australia, means that the urn containing the burnt bails will get taken to australia, which it was, in the hands of the australian captain, also, the ashes urn's actually now kept at lords ground all the time as we dont trust the aussies
