yeah, i agree. the ending could have been a little more inventive. it got a little repetitive. and their inside a whale in the middle of the ocean. but other than that, it was good. stop animation can be a bitch. especially when your legos stick tightly.

Ah, and herein we have a problem that can be solved purely with an album inlay and an eye for an apostrophe! If it says 'our ship's sole survivors' then it's one ship, if it says 'our ships' sole survivors' then it's two. I only have it in digital form, so I have no inlay. Can you solve this problem? Though it could still be a mis-print, or that Meloy doesn't know the finer points of punctuation...

p.s. I'm pretty sure he IS telling the story to the captain from inside the whale.

I would go with two ships, as it indicates in the song that he goes to sea with a privateer and spends twenty months searching.

If it was one ship, and it took twenty months for him to find the captain on it, he probably shouldn't have been tasked with avenging anything.

Brilliant. One of the best I've seen on this here tube. One minor criticism: when Meloy sings 'your starboard flank abeam,' I don't think he means another ship, as you show in your video. Afterall, there is no previous mention of another ship, and I'm not sure what purpose it would serve for the narrative. Rather, he is talking of one of two possible things. First, he could be talking of the whale, and second, as I suspect, he's talking of the captain, anticipating a musket cleaning 'accident'.
