  • Great video: In summary of the video, Children believe from the start what we think and tell them, Yet this is their world; and as good people, in clear conscience, we must teach them to discover their own ability to reason from both sides, in finding their own positions.

  • Exaltation: The bible purports a special relationship with an unseen God for a ten percent tithe of the money this imaginary friend bestows upon you. Keep in mind this pulpit tax goes to the ones who are responsible for maintaining your relationship with God and not too God Him/Her-self -- OK, no eyebrows raised, then I will proceed. God made you in his image, meaning you can project an image of yourself being god like and you in self-image know God. Fine tuning is done in the image of Sunday.

  • Subjugation: The bible furthers a master-slave mentality that goes a long way in our present model of economic slavery where people compete to the bottom while at the top there seems very little of this competition as power and money has the mobility to move on to the next opportunity after wealth has been redistributed from the bottom to the top.

  • This video is biased for atheism! Freethinking, research, both sides of the story, logic, reason, religion doesn't stand a chance against that!

  • Didn't really get into how to measure how something should "make more sense" i.e. internal logical consistency or concept identification.. but for kids this would be good.

  • This is a great video every father and son should see together. Thank you for this, KT.

  • I love this video!!!!

  • Shows how religion uses scare tactics and oporent conditioning to indoctranate people in to their religion! To quote a lyric from my favorite band " and have they told you how to think, clensed your mind of sepsis and autonomy"!

  • Brilliant. "You shouldn't believe in something because it's scary. There are a lot things people believe are scary, but it doesn't mean it's true."

  • This is a good video.

  • Salute..... You need to be on Southpark......

  • wow awesome message and the animations are pretty sweet haha

  • why cant athiests live in peace and stop making a case for themselves by hating on God and his children? Hasnt anyone noticed how hard they try to get what they want by hating on the Lord Jesus Christ? Why is that?

It is because mankind is naturally rebellious, controling and manipulative. Rebels would like nothing more than to destroy the Worship of God from every institution not only in USA but the whole world. Since they claim no Faith in Christ as their Lord, why all this? They hate God.

  • @ighforever Woah nelly! In what part of this video did you det "atheists hate God"? You have some serious learning to do.

  • @ighforever How can you hate something that you don't belive in?

  • Awesome video! This deserves more views!

  • Dang straight. Well said, sir... kudos to you.

  • Great video! I wish my parents had been like that when I was a kid. Thank goodness I turned out to be like that father, anyway, and value knowledge and question the things around me. :)

  • out of his penis

  • Jesus said a lot of great things. It's just to bad his father is SUCH an ass hole.

  • Nicely done!

    Thanks for your work!

  • this is pretty much what my parents said and i am glad they did

  • Brilliant work — sane, grounded, thorough, honouring the child's intellectual autonomy. Really great work. Sweet graphics too! ;8)

  • you stay away too long!!!

  • Good stuff, KT! And thanks for recommending the books. -- Dale McGowan

  • The artwork in this is so cute; a perfect match to a simple lesson that, unfortunately, many people so desperately need to hear.

  • This video was desperately needed... Great work KT45!!! The brainwashing of children and using them as propaganda tools is disgusting to me. I have felt for years now that critical thinking should be a required course in highschool if not sooner.

    Really well done!!!

  • I really enjoyed this video and am recommending it to many.

I only wish one thing were different - the avoidance position the parent takes to address sexual content is totally out of sync with the rest of the cartoon.

I cannot speak for others, but if I were the kid in this cartoon, I would get totally stuck on what I might not be ready for, etc and that would get in the way of absorbing the freethinking instructions.

  • Excellent video. Very respectful of all points of view.

  • Missed ya... glad to see one from you again!!!

  • They don't come along too often, but when a KT45 vid comes along it's ALWAYS sharp. :)

Hope all goes well with you, KT.

  • Yay you're back making videos! I'm so glad I love your cartoons.

  • I missed you too! : )

  • Thanks premed2!

  • that makes sense if only people would talk like that. i plan on doing the same thing when ever and if i ever have kids

  • I have not seen you for a while. I hope this is the start of a return to Youtube. Great stuff.

  • That was actually teaching grade material. Well spoken and stated in a sense of neutrality that it should be done in the classroom as a matter of discourse, regardless of religious orient it would be a good matter to teach children critical thinking skills and have them learn to research a matter before fully trusting the position shown to them.

    Excellent video, thank you much.

  • Thank you very much!

  • Great video! loved it ! :D

  • Really cool vid, KT.

Very simple and straight to the point.

    *****

  • ★★★★★

  • I missed you KT, this is another classic

  • thanks lothrazar

  • nice vid

  • My childhood experience (at age 6 or so) with this issue was far less sophisticated:

TODD'S FRIEND: Do you believe in Jesus?

    6-YEAR-OLD TODD: Who's that?

"FRIEND": Aren't you Christian? Do you follow *any* religion?

    TODD: I dunno.

"FRIEND": Get out of my house!

10 minutes later--TODD TO MOM: What religion am I?

MOM: Oh, just tell people you're Christian.

    * * * *

Needless to say, my discussions about religion with my own children have taken a different course!!

  • haha that is an awesome story. Todd's friend sounds like a lil jerk.

  • it is amazing that a child that young (I'm assuming Todd's 'friend' was around 6) already thought he should distance himself from disbelievers

  • > it is amazing that a child that young (I'm assuming Todd's 'friend' was around 6) already thought he should distance himself from disbelievers

His sister (the one I was there to see) was my age, but I think this kid was a couple years older. Anyway, he was probably just following the advice of the likes of a Sunday school minister---to distance thyself from the unsaved sinner!

  • > Todd's friend sound like a lil jerk.

Ha-ha--I didn't know him all that well. Really, I was in his house only because I had a 6-year-old's crush on his sister!
