So says the creators of the movie and I believe them. The only way to get people to face horrible facts etc. is to really shock them and this movie does exactly that - shock, offend and stir up feelings

The Human Centipede was an awful movie. Not because it was a sick movie but, because the acting by the two women where awful I mean awful. I've seen soaps that have better acting. Also, there are a bunch of cliche's in this movie the biggest one being the women's car breaks down and they come to a crazy persons house (how convenient). Also, when the women meet this guy he's obviously a psycho. The picture in his living room was weird. So what do they do, they except something to drink. Bullshit.
Dude you obviously have never seen Martyrs! This was weak. the baby scene is more of a disturbing thought then what was shown. The head hacking scene was standard and the rest was weak. More of a horrible thought then what was shown

I thought the film should have been banned for those scenes. The scary thing is, this movie has now opened the door for other films to delve into kiddie and baby porn. I think they went too far.

The director himself said this and if you bothered to read up on Serbian nationalism and how the government works there, you would see that this is true. Now this is not to say the gore was necessary, it is just there to get attention for the political message.
