  • The legendary moment was the burp in the end. :)

  • the snare sounds awesome in this song

  • blitzkrieg sound german

  • @CreepingDeath132 It is German. Literally, "Lightning War."

  • @xxweaponsxx123 wat

  • Comment removed

  • @xxweaponsxx123 There's no Seek & Destroy "album" (this song was on Kill Em All". Also, Blitzkrieg was never recorded before Garage Inc.

  • Comment removed

  • @xxweaponsxx123 Blitzkrieg is on Garage inc, not kill em all x)

  • @ryuchou666 fyi, blitzkrieg was recorded by metallica in 1984 for the creeping death b-side single

  • @cillee997 Ok, I was wrong on that point. But I think that the version on garage inc is a remastered one and is quite different but whatever. The point is that the uploader didn't make any mistake by putting this garage inc cover

  • @xxweaponsxx123 It's not on Kill 'Em All, it's not even their own song and there is no album called Seek and Destroy...

  • what means "i fuked up"??

  • @thgtblom "I made a mistake."

  • For all those of you who were listening to metallica back in the 80's.Driving rusty old cars drinking beer and smoking weed.im taking a sap

  • 3:28 is funny!!! When I first heard James burping, and then Lars saying "I fucked up, in one place", I was laughing my ass off. I was like "FUCK YEAH!!!" METALLICA RULES. That's when I was 25. Well, I'm 49, and I STILL say,

    METALLICA FUCKING RULES!!!!!

METALLICA IS REAL MUSIC BOYS AND GIRLS!!! A LOT BETTER THAN THE SHIT THAT'S OUT THERE TODAY!!!!

  • I've always liked the sounds at the end. James-'Burb' haha! Lars-" I fucked up, in one place."

  • *burp!

  • Czy ktoś wsłuchał się dokładnie w ten tekst? Przecież on jest śmieszny i żałosny... Muzyka OK.

  • @lokator143 WIdać, że mało metalowych tekstów czytałeś ;D

  • Isin't this song on kill 'em all. Like as one of the bonus songs.

  • even if lars did fuck up it was an awsome fuck up! metallica rules best band ever always will be.

  • Probably wont survive, most of you.

  • 3 people can't survive the Blitzkrieg!!

  • L.O.L!!! Me & my older cousin used 2 laugh our asses off @ that "fucked up,in1 place"I was prob. in the 3rd grsde. Wow;well over 20 yrs ago. That just fells weird 2 say. Well anyways thnks 4 the trip down memory lane

  • From who is the original?

  • @Summerloveee09 The band that originally did it is also called Blitzkrieg.

  • beat your mom to a bloody pulp with this just blasting

  • Song is fucking brutal, better than the orignal, guitar tones, voice, everything is so much more aggressive

  • 3:30 lars: i fucked up! in one place!

  • @BMANM4A1 That makes me wanna find the fuck up haha.

  • @BMANM4A1 I wonder where he fucked up?

  • @BMANM4A1 Lars can fuck up all he wants. His name is fucking Lars jesus. If my name was Lars....

  • @RainingBlood15 lol i'd rather call u moron xD

  • @svetaizvorac Sooo.... You would much rather call me Dave?

  • @RainingBlood15 I'm hearing this from a Slayer fan soooo...FUCK YEAH

  • @RainingBlood15 All Lars does is fuck up, we're all used to him sucking.

  • @Frostdaddy88 I don't get why so many people believe Lars sucks.

I'm an experienced musician myself and I rarely see anything wrong with his drum-tracks at all; in fact he does it quite brilliant most of the time, (it's very tight and precise throughout most of this song anyway) and to "fuck up" happens to all musicians sometimes.

Lars might just be more of an ass about it, though.

  • @BMANM4A1 He is Lars,he can fuck up when ever he wants and we will still love him..

  • BADASS BASS MAN!

  • pretty kool

  • 3 people didn't survive the blitxkrieg...

  • give me loud

  • lol I find it funny/cool how americans speak blitzkrieg out haha.. great song though

  • Now you see.

    Rythm and Blues

    this is what that defines.

    beat and true meaning,

  • My idols Angus Young and JAMES HETFIELD!(ll)

  • @superboertje12

    ahhaah Fuck yeah

haha idk Angus is kinda a retard, I love acdc hahaha Angus is just a bit to goofy

My Idols, James Hetfield, Jim Morrsion

    hahah just saying

  • Blitzkrieg Isn't of Kill Em All ?

  • @UnPutoLoquendero It was first recorded by Metallica on the Creeping Death single b-side and it was a bonus track on Kill 'Em All in the 1989 reissue. Metallica put this on teh 2nd CD of Garage Inc. together with other old covers like Helpless for example. I hope that helped :D

  • @UnPutoLoquendero yup true what johnthegreek178 said, but also the song is a cover of the british NWOBHM band with the same name

  • @UnPutoLoquendero It is. It's just a rare album to find if you want to buy it. Otherwise, yes it is. By fact Because every Kill em' all song, except hit the lights, was created by Dave Mustaine along with call of ktulu, from Ride The Lightning. Blitzkrieg, Kil'em All =] call me weird hahaha but im 17, My dad is like 39, he grew up loving Metallica and now i also do. and I've done things I'm not proud of hahaha. but I;ve stayed up for days, looking up metallica info. haha
  • @blueeyedsoldier100 hey, due, james wrote phantom lord too

  • @MegaGrody

Yes haha i knew that as well. I actually do not like that song to much. or Motorbreath

  • Comment removed

  • @blueeyedsoldier100 Mustaine did not create Motorbreath, (Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth or the melodic part in The four horsemen.

  • @elMaco52 There is no melodic part with Mustaine anyways lol

  • @clavianord Ehm, are you retarded?

  • @elMaco52 ...i mean in the begining of megadeth that was pure speed metal

  • Blitzkrieg=Fast, efficient German Special Forces in WW2.

  • 3 people deserve Blitzkrieg

  • At the end, Lars says:" I FUCKED UP AT ONE PLACE!" LOL! HE ALWAYS DOES THAT! FUCKS UP EVERYTHING! XDDD

  • @MIJATECARE ..shut up.

  • I actually like the original one better. Metallica kicks serious ass though. However Blitzkrieg wrote this song.

  • This was the song that made me fall in love with metallica

  • i love the whole song but the intro is fucking badass! :)

  • The track should have the credits listed: The three members of the band BLITZKRIEG wrote it. One of whom was my song-writing and band partner, guitarist Ian Jones. Ian died in August 2009 from living a kinda 'Blitzkrieg' style life. He was wonderful all the way through to the end and much loved by Lars and James Hetfield. I don't think either of them loved me much!!! Still.. I love listening to the track. Ian used to play the riff for me when we were in the studio. Magic from his fingers.

  • I LOVE THIS OPENING RIFF!!!!! FIRST ONE I EVER LEARNED ON GUITAR

  • pure Badass song

  • 2:38-2:57 was honestly the best part of the whole thing. And at the end when James burped, laughed and Lars said "I fucked up... one place..." :D

  • I love how 178 people liked this and only 3 thumbed down :D

  • True this song isn't about Hitler/Nazi Germany but the word "Blitzkrieg" means "Lightning War"

  • @andy5421 im not attacking u, id just like to add, blitzkrieg is not a word, it is a term hitler coined, the only reason is exsist is cause hitler came up with it, and its now known meaning "lighting war", what im getting at is, its not an actual word that has a true meaning that can be used in any context, its a german term, invented by a german speaking man, about something the germans did, n judging by the lyrics, how could u not think the song isnt about the german blitzkrieg

  • I remember back in the day when Blitzkrieg and Am I Evil were both on the Kill 'Em All album. When I got another copy of it, the songs were taken out. I'm glad that they were put on Garage Inc.

  • @EvilDonnie1976 still have a copy of it....original release on megaforce records!!!!!!

  • 3 people couldn't survive the blitzkrieg!

  • favorite song of all time by metallica

  • Really sound well,:) Metallica makes a great cover.

  • strange, i see it as a flux of illegals from Mexico, how we handle it and will we honor the men that died in the spanish war. Keep what is our or give it back?

  • @megariot WTF are u on about. stfu n00b.

  • 2 people shouldn't have ears...

  • ... 2:40... I love it...

  • @ilikenoodles1

    Favorite Part.

  • wrooong album weetarrd

  • ok Im not trying to start shit but Blitzkrieg is from the Kill 'Em All Album

  • @TylerJenkinsOorah

No, it was recorded a little while after Kill 'Em All, it was just put on the 1989 reissues

  • Eh... This song isn't from Garage Inc. Right?

  • 3:32 "Fuck off" xD

  • @TheJudasKiss8 Here here mate, love it! Hail Metallica!

  • @TheJudasKiss8 thats a jason newsted qoute! haha "yes metallica have sold out. every show they play"

  • @rhyno4eva isn't Metallica formed in 1983?

  • @WWFinurhouse They formed in 81 and released Kill 'Em All in 83, doofus.

  • @WWFinurhouse

metallica was formed in 81, with dave mustaine, james hetfield, lars ulrich, and ron mcgovney. in 83 they came out with their first album kill em all, which featured their newest bassist cliff burton. cliff died in 86, to be filled in by jason for 16 years. jason left and there was a couple year gap between jason and rob trujillo.

  • Why are there 2 persons that didn't like this?

  • blitzkrieg is german and he says with an english R O.o xd

  • @supermiimi lol das klingt kake xD

lol this sounds really crappy for a german

  • @MOBGMBH ja xd vorallem THE blitzkrieg xd

  • @supermiimi

Blitzkrieg ist ein Wort das die Amis/Engländer von uns übernommen haben.

So wie wir von denen Handy usw haben.

  • @Sarentor Handy is kein engl. Wort.

    Bei denen bedeutet das "handwerklich"

    Die benutzen Mobile phone.

  • @domme6495

Ich weiß, aber Handy ist ein englisches Wort, das wir übernommen haben. Zwar ne andere Bedeutung, aber trotzdem das selbe Wort. ^^

  • fucking awsome

  • The last minute of this song is f'ing amazing... what can I say... pure metal!

Metallica sure have great taste in music...

And the bass is incredibly apparent on this recording... well done Rasmussen!

    /Cheers

  • actually it's a Jason Newsted on the Bass, Cliff Burton died 13 years ago .... before they recorded garage inc.!

  • @Glorius20082008.

Sorry to burst your bubble - but it's not.

The original recording of Blitzkrieg was done in 1984 as a part of the original "Garage Days Revisited" - a B-side to the Creeping Death E.P.

Then it was included on Garage Inc. in 1998 - hence, the recording features Cliff Burton on bass guitar. You can read about this in the liner notes of the Garage Inc. booklet as far as I remember...

    /Cheers

  • @dd64954

    Well dd64954

i have to take back my hypothese.

you seem to know more about it,

    I'm a newbie on metallica ...

  • @glorius

No worries... live and learn...! :-)

People have made far worse claims...

Ex. people still believe that Dave Mustaine actually wrote (part of) Leper Messiah...

Enjoy your new found interest in Metallica! It's the best!

    /Cheers

  • Yeah metallica is really tight!

we play a medley in our coverband

it's Enter Sandman - Sad but true - for whom the bell tolls; and i'm the bass player ;) what is fun ^^

  • your right man!! well said..
