@4569834 great question, insurance company didnt think it was necessary. we later on blended it tho, i dont remember if we did it for free or got a supplement.
for a glasurit paint line this type of paint job is okay...other cheap lines, that front door should be scuffed for blend. no matter how good you at in tinting....i can still see the difference if there's no blend...
lol funny you should mention that, the customer never wanted the quarter blended, and there was a noticable difference! Our body tech went a little too far out of the repair area too. I ended up blending into the quarter after the customer finally approved and pulled some extra money out of their pocket for something they should have had done in the first place. We used Sherwin Williams paint too.
I got my paint suit from the vocational school I went to, they used Glasurit and PPG. This and the 350z are probably one of the last cars that I'll paint, Im painting my friends Tiburon next week and then trying to get out of the paint shop,...stuffs killing me.
i see. Yea, there so much drama in auto collision industry. I also paint for living and I usually have to fight for my rights in terms of labor time against my boss, estimator, and those cheap insurance...Otherwise, I would be painting stuff for free which is no good.
yea, i plan to get into management after i graduate college, im painting my buddies car for free just because I havent painted since August and Im pretty sure I'll have a few minor flaws
I do let off the trigger a little bit with each pass. when you pull the trigger back half way only air sprays out, after half way it consistentley lets out paint as well depending how far back you pull the trigger. you really cant tell by the video but I was blending the color outwards so that you can get a good, and unnoticable color match, if I only paint that little area and release the trigger at the end of the spot, youll see it in the spot in the paint
What "sealer" is or what "sealer" do?

What state are you in? Is it possible I could get my 350z painted Le Mans Sunset (A17)? Its Chrome Silver (KY0) at the moment.

How come your paint suit is Glasurit? Sherwin Williams suit is good also and it's better than "shoot suit" brand.
