Many of the oil companies that operate in the US are foreign or Multi National companies. Their shareholders are worldwide and they do not represent America or live directly around the consequences of destruction within America given their foreign position.

It's given so little in fact, that the company who was managing the fields, Halliburton, in 2007, completely cut their losses in the area, and severed their subsidiary there to fend for itself.
It's yet to even pay for the pipeline used to move it.
We may have a thirst for oil, but to invade Iraq for its oil, doesn't make much sense.

I agree buying local oil would help. But the main issue is Direct Foreign Investment. Investors can take over shares of any multi-national company and buy out national land for their operations are a global company. Inflation,or the devaluation of paper money in our free world is primarily caused by human nature and its greed. Everyone gets their cut and those who are at the top of the financial food chain pass the cost of manufacture, marketing, etc., down the chain to those who are powerless - i.e. - you and I...think about it for a minute...

Inflation is a loss of buying power - no way around it. it is requires more fot he same currency to buy the same thing as before, all it does is shows. It is not based on a natural system at all. It is based on a corrupt banking practice called frational reserve banking, and has been used on and off since the days of Rome. It was used to lend huge sums of money during wars to get nationstates in debt to the international bankers, and to be the creditors of nations like the US

@Rubekgold Actually the US Government doesn't assasinate american citizens, they have someone write some orders to "Neutralize" a person who is declared as a national security threat. Currently in the CIA they are a little hands off on "neutralizing" american citizens outside the USA but certainly there could be some exceptions. There is no such thing as freedom of Speech, the 1st amendment. This is a very important video with very important information.

We're no longer living in the best country in the world, only the most powerful. Other countries actually respect their own laws and their court systems actually make rulings of law according to how their laws are written. @thinkstrait And I forgot to say that those DEA agents shot him in the back, in the scapula and the bullet exited his abdomen after going through his liver. He lived, this was the 3rd time he was shot, he had 2 purple hearts from his time as a forward observer in Charlie Company in the Marines. But back in the 1970's he was well on his way, well organized but being shot and given a bogus trial kinda curbed his plans. The AR15 collection is still in circulation however. The video wasn't bad. Here's my issue....
Renewable energy is a great idea. Truly is. BUT. Everyone pushing for it completely ignores the extremely huge cost of the change over. We are talking from a personal level on up to the highest reaches of government (which we also pay for I might add). The cost would be extreme. And no one pushing for green energy has yet to come up with a way to cure that excessive high cost. Until that happens, we can talk all day about it, but it's not happening.
