Dudes, U need to clean where the float pin goes into! USe acetone and a q tip. Force pin in and let drop out. If it sticks, clean again. Empty debris from reservoir bowl and set your jets to 1 and a q turns out from 100% in. works for me 90% of time. If not boil carb in water and use strings to clean out all the lil holes.
@689321546 If you google your model you may be able to find a parts diagram or try posting your question on the doityourself website, I personally have never replaced one on a single stage.
my blower was doing the same thing too...mines was the clip that connects from the carb to the governor was put wrong..their will be a couple of holes you have to put it in the right hole..
Ya I know about the hole issue on the governor, I have several 8 hp machines, this one is bang on but I appreciate the suggestion, it runs great now. We ended up replacing the flywheel.
Are you referring to those knock off junk chinese engines that are supposed to be "like a honda" or "honda clone". They are not the same engine and yes they are indeed "cheap". The motor runs fine, it was low on gas and started to lean out, we started it after and it ran like a charm.
I was looking for a motor on ebay to repower a mower and saw plenty of good deals.I had no idea you were in Canada.with shippping it might not be worth your while.scout around with the bad economy here deals are poping up.
For some reason in Canada, the prices for engines are insane. I'd repower if I didn't have a choice. He ran the machine this morning, we got 20cm last night, it didn't miss a beat and started no problem.

Nice heavy machine. If you have some chains on that you would be set. Also can go wrong with a fuel filter
