There was one reference of Josephus that was proven to be a forgery. But all the other references are considered credible.

I sincerely hope that your research is a little more than interent googling. There is definitely more info about Josephus prior to 14th century. Look deeper, you'll find it.

The birth of Christ is celebrated on the 25th of December because thats the day (The 3rd day after the winter solstice) when the SUN dies, and is resurected the first full moon after the SPRING EQUINOX, as the moon cult has influence aswell. The shepherds turned their flocks out during these times, so they know he was not born in the winter. However that is the birth date of The Pagan Messiah of Babylon Tammuz.
