They intentionally say "tree" instead of "three" to say the numbers clearly. as is "five" and "nine" are pronounced as "fife" and "niner"

great to hear someone enjoying their day/job. As a commercial pilot,,it is such a stress release to talk to a controller who loves what they do. Houston has a great approach/departure controller on 134.45,,sad to say he's about to retire. Great guy,,great attitude.

Back in the early 90's, I flew for American Eagle out of DFW. We had an approach controller named Cliff.....old veteran, cool as a cucumber....laid back, funny, very professional. Things would get crazy when typical T-storms would move into the area. Cliff could space 'em out, line 'em up and get it done, all with humor. We also had a DFW tower/ground controller named Gayla. When she worked ground on the east side, we called her the wicked witch of the east. She was mean and short of patience
