Also,Diddy Kong is way too small.When you play multiplayer you'll realize that it's tough on your eyes to keep up with Diddy kong.It's very easy to lose him out of sight since you're seeing him from a 3rd person's perspective.Instead of being him,like in N64.

As far as effects,I still prefer N64.It's much more colorful and has many more effects than this one. In N64 you can actually see the sunrays,stars shining at night,grass movement etc.Something u will surely b missing in wii

DK 64 was better though:( To start off you could choose more characters.You could play with Lankey Kong and Tiny Kong in 64.

2ndly:The camera angle was much better.You could look up,down,right & left,zoom in and zoom out.With this new wii DK the camera angle doesn't allow you much. You see DK from a far distance and that's it.It's not like you can move his face to where you want to,and enjoy the stages as if you were there in real life like in N64.

Put this on the Wii U (Hi Definition) and I'll buy it just for that. I'd like a Hi Def Mario sidescroller too. No one does game design like Nintendo. No one. I believe I played every Donkey Kong game since the 80s w/the first one w/Mario. My biggest disapointment was Jungle Beat w/the bongo drums..(my palms never recovered) then a few day's ago I bought the DDK returns..Pretty good game but does not hold a candle to DDK 64. Nintendo made a big mistake letting go of the Rare company who created that game...ooo banana! The effects was before it's time!

@Godzie1 Rareware was bumped from this project? I did not know that, that explains a lot to me though, because I have to say I don't like this. DKC & DKC Diddy Kong Quest are my favorite out of the franchise, and both had an amazing vibe to them. This game is labeled "DKC Returns" right? So it should bring back nostalgic memories for DKC fans and yet it seems to be a totally new game. And now I know, it's missing that gritty, raw feeling that only Rareware can provide

@coolbones both characters donkey kong and mario appeared in the first donkey kong for the arcade cabinets. diddy wasn't incorperated untill DK2 (still in cabinet later in nes) under the name of DK JR. this is also when mario received his name. finally in 1994 donkey kong country came out. this was the first game with DK as the protagonist (despite DK JR. in DK2) and diddy recieved his name and outfit. (so did the rest of the kongs)yeah i'm a nerd for DK & still noone does it like RareWare did!

Best game ever on Wii ! :) I love the Donkey Kong Countrygames :) Retro Studios did an awesome job with this game like Rare did with the other Donkey Kong Country games on Snes :) The worlds and the levels are so beautifully made and the music rocks like the original games :)
