@ferrykalos è vero sul medio basso perdeva spesso il passo (ma non è l'unica) però il suo vibrato secondo me è stupendo e raffinato, spesso viene esaltato ma appesantisce troppo; ha comunque una voce elegante e calda

I was in this production when Caballe brought it to Chicago in 1973 and stopped the show cold. This is next to the last tableau, after she has been condemned. Talbot hears her confession and gives her absolution. In the final tableau, she prays with her faithful and is led by Robert Dudley (Leicester) and Hannah Kennedy (Anna) to the execution block. This scene is one of my favorites.Absolutely stunning,incredibly moving.

Montserrat Caballe became Maria Stuarda with her voice.I would rather hear Caballe in this role rather than anybody else.
