The Brunette, I believe is Kristy's friend Shelley Harland. Although Sarah Mclachlan was the original person who sang along side Kristy in "Silence," Shelley would often times fill her place. I personally prefer Sarah much, much, much more than Sarah but Kristy is unbeatable. She's my girl! lol Notice how Kristy over shadows Shelley's voice and Shelley does nothing to compliment Kristy. I hate to say that, I know they are best friends.

I had this as a download a year or so ago and lost it in a HD crash. I understand this was the only live recording of this song. I think it was recorded at a Canadian Music Festival or possibly a charity fund raiser. The singers are Kirsty Thirsk and Shelley Harland from memory who were the vocalists in the Delerium US touring band of 2000.

This is probably my favorite version of the song just because the lead singer (Shelley Harland) compliments the backup singer (Kristy Thirsk). Yes, Sarah McLachlan and Leigh Nash are incredibly talented singers but their vocal style clashes with Kristy and it doesn't sound as good.

The Boulder concert 2004 (or 2005?) Asked lots of friends (and even the wife) to see the most important band in my life. (These guys are also Front Line Assembly, Noise Unit, and Delerium.) They are just into creating. No takes. Alone. And the best concert. This is Sqarah McLaughlin's Silence with Delerium. I mean who am I, but 14 years later they are still doing remixes.

I have around 500 CDs and countless downloaded songs. Of them all, Silence is my ultimate favourite song and Karma is one of my top-5 favourite albums. I always thought it would be almost impossible to perform Silence live in a manner that measures up with the album version. I am hereby proven wrong.
