Supposedly I heard there was a TF1 game that was produced for a variety of personal computers. I've never seen gameplay footage of the game though but I have heard that visually it is not as polished.
narox, see if you can locate a version of this game. There might be a emulated version somewhere. If you do, you may be the first youtuber to post gameplay footage. I have not located any videos featuring this game.
Hmmm, I just found out that Thunder Force 1 came out in 1983...That's close to the stcks and stones age of video gaming. It almost looks like an intel 286 computer game. That's out of the range of my channel, which circa 1990s. Anyways, Thanks for the interesting information.
Oi! It is a 1983 title. I must see if i can find a rom of this game. There was also a release in 1984 called Thunder Force Construction that allowed players to create custom made areas.
Now how cool is that!
If there is a someone out there that knows where to find the rom, give me a hollar! I want to give the original game in the series a go!
You have done it again! I just got home from work & needed a video like to to lift my spirits! Back in 1990, this was one of the three titles I borrowed off of a neighbour. The first was Ghostbusters (still looking for a complete copy), the other being Truxton (I finally added this game to by collection by the way), and the third was Thunderforce 2. There is something about the music in TF2 that draws you into the game. The game forces you to readjust to the gameplay: From overhead to sideways.
narox you are like pizza hut always delivering a smile ...now back to the subject this i a awsome series and thanks to you i can finally watch them AAAAALLLLLLLL,,,. and you know.... i want them AAALLLLLLLLLl ..yes i said AAAALLLLLLLLLLLL...got that .. thanks brothers..lol ..peace
The awesomeness of this title is insurmountable! Not even its successors, though more awesome, managed to surpass its style of gameplay. It's a Thunder Force title all of its own. =)
I have this game in my Megadrive library, but I never enjoyed it as much as Thunder Force 4. Main culprit is the overhead stages, I really dislike them, too hard to control to my tastes.
Yes, I'm aware of that. It's the melodies that sound very similar to it. Game soundtracks are a big deal for me when deciding whether a game is cool or not, lol.
@ 0:26. I could never figure out what the computer says... "He goody to be gat. Lotta good luck" :thumbs up:

The music sounds alot more reminiscent to Hyper Duel for the Arcade than the other Thundeforces. Hmm..

In fact Hyper Duel is also made by Techno Soft.

Same with me. Game sound tracks is the major deciding factor whether I make the video or not. :D

My 3rd favorite in the Sega TF games with III being first and 4(Lighting Force)being second.
I have some memories of renting this game from a local video store...I remember liking the cover art on the box.
