For one thing Cuba never lost its economic or military support when the Soviet Union fell; quite the opposite occurred. In 200 the two countries signed agreements that strengthened their relationship economically, political and militarily. The US needs to abandoned its selfish blockades on Cuba not invade or police them.

That does not make much sense given the fact that China poses exactly the same threat to us militarily as it would if it were 90 miles from the coast of the United States. China is equal if not more capable of balancing power globally just as the Soviet Union once did. Not to mention Russia and China have much closer ties these days too.
