are the worms that naturally show up at the bottom of my finished compost pile manure worms? I am in zone 5 northern Illinois. do I need to buy red wrigglers... I don't think they are hardy this far north.
My sound is down on my computer but just watching this is great. I have a small operation in a bathtub in the back of my yard. Worms are trully amazing. I feed them every couple of days and its so interesting to see that it is eaten so fast. I started out with 200 red wigglers and now its a bathtub full. We all need to have worms to recycle the massive amount of disposable food so it doesn't land in the dump. You need to save cans, paper, aluminum too. Quit throwing stuff away.

It's full of vitamins and minerals but please let your plants eat it before you do. It doesn't really taste bad, more like gritty.

Worms! *shudder* But, I suppose that they're necessary. Still, I'm glad that it's other people that process the, um, produce.

We have a saying here in the UK and it's, 'Where there's muck, there's brass'. It's true if you're willing to put the work in.
Great film AGAIN!!
