  • I remember never completely transmitted countdown.

  • This version sounds the best in some ways...

  • i thing the software is Affter Effects....have a good day!

  • countdown 2012? HAHAHAH :P

  • this is so much like the corrporate sci fi sequance for the big corp who runs the world in some cyberpunk story

  • LOve this song so much this is brilliant i dont know the name of it

  • do you have higher quality audio? id like to get the mp3s =)

  • No I'm afraid not, sorry!

  • yyyeaah bbc rules!!!! ...and tv5 too ....d oh

  • This version rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think that 2007 version are best

  • I just love it!! The 2003 countdown was the best one!

  • Ah, I miss this.

Much better than their new White&Red scheme.

  • beep beep beep beep....

  • This is fantastic! It would make a great ringtone as well.

  • What software did they use to create all this??? thank you!

  • You mean what software did the BBC use to make this? I would say it was created for them by a separate company.

  • its done in carrera :p

  • This type of presentaion from 2003 was created inhouse by Red Bee Media

  • @phen2206 But you can still do this on Adobe After Effects.

  • I love it!!!

  • I like how the music is so dramatic and serious up until the 10 second point, and then brings it home a little lighthearted. Or maybe I read way too much into this LoL.

  • Awesome!!!! I'm DYING to see this best ever ident again on BBC World!!!

  • I GO CRYYY TOO

  • I've got the full 60 sec. countdown, without that "putting news first". I got it by an Interuption (breakfiller was 'broken').

  • Wow - care to upload it for us?

  • then I must first repair my DVD-recorder (that takes about 2 weeks) and I don't have much time (work). So, please be patient.

  • it's (finally) done! now you can see the full 60 second countdown! have fun with it!

  • This is a later version of the 2003 one, they added the "Putting News First" So perhaps they changed a few things.

But this definatly is from the BBC.

  • this one is not BBC's. They just made it lol.

I must admit, it is pretty good.

  • How so? Look at the related videos on the right side of your screen. When you have the countdown in the 15 seconds position, the objects that are circling around the globe are in the same position as the one in the frame of taylor1396's countdown vid titled "BBC World 2003 -- Globe Countdown"

  • Excuse me, but yes it is. How on earth would someone make this themselves? Its identical to the other videos of the same countdown here on YouTube. This much of the countdown was rarely shown but that doesn't mean that this video isn't the real thing!

  • of course its the bbc's u fool

  • yes yes ive known that for 4 months now. u don't need to carry on with this conversation.

  • sorry but i only just saw it!

  • dont worry but next time, check when its been posted.

  • have a cry

  • Nice job getting the countdown from so far back; I don't think I'd heard this version until now. Many thanks... And if you ever find the BBC World "disaster" music broadcast a few hours after the 9/11 attacks, or after the Columbia shuttle tragedy, please let me know (the music sounds like a countdown, but mournful and tragic, with images of the events).

  • Thats the most I've seen of this version.
