  • Bill is a heavy smoker.

  • Look's like a crap bike anyway

  • those jeans are totally wicked.

  • anyone know the name of the actor playing the kid in this ad?

  • no sorry, maybe he never did any more acting.

  • @vq5gc3 His name is Richard East.... his sister Lisa was in grange Hill...lives in swindon.wiltshire

  • @vq5gc3 Peter Armitage - he plays Bill Webster in Corrie. We dated over forty years ago!!

  • @vq5gc3 Peter Armitage - he plays Bill Webster in Corrie. We dated over forty years ago when he still looked pretty much like on the commercial!!

  • At the end he says "I were right to suck off the dandy cock of Mr Willy Carson and his troupe of narcisistic page boys"

    Just in case anyone wondered.

  • MAN!. The best bit is "Eh, i were right about that saddle" at the end and it was cut off, bollocks.

  • I know and I am so sorry. It annoys me too

  • @Lucither why the fuck did they do that!!!!!!!!!!

  • shame the lad went the wrong way down a one-way street and got taken out

  • I remember an old friend of mine. He watched this on loop for 16 hours then sadly did himself in, apparently his mother came in to see him swinging from the ceiling to the last 5 seconds of the advert, the bit which goes - papapapapapappa.

  • damn...you cut the end off.

  • I didn't, it was like that. Disappointing though isn't it? sorry

  • yeah, its just the way he used to say the whole, 'i was right 'bout that saddle though'.

    ha ha ha.

  • Oooh I know, I loved his accent as he said it :-)

  • A razor blade seat would slice his cock off!

  • seat like a razor blade

  • These Yellow pages ads from the 80s were excellent, I wish I could find the one where the boy buys the toy signal box for his dad's railways layout in the loft!

  • Yep, my brother has been trying to track that train track ad down for ages. Him & his mates at work were having a bit of a "debate" one day as to what the bloke says to the kid in the shop. I remember it word for word...kid says "do you have an R186 signal box?" shop bloke says "yeah I think we've got one left" LOL. My bro was saying that he says "yeah I think we've got one left" & his mates were all saying he didn't, so he was trying to find it to prove himself right. Still looking for it :-D

  • Ha ha! I think I can remember the words myself (I'm was roughly the same age as that boy when the ad was screened):

Boy: You know the Hornby 00 model railway?

    Man: Yes.

Boy: Do you have the R186 signal box?

Man: Yes I've got one there.

Boy: Great! They've got one mum!

I'm pretty sure I've got that right! Hope that helps.

  • it was a R118 signal box

  • No, it was an R186 Signal box

  • No, it was a bike.

    From Roper's.

  • That Peter Amitage lives near me lol i saw him today in town!

  • Oooh I wish he lived nr me, I'd be his personal stalker, lol. (Just joking)

  • I were right about that saddle though!!
