live on that interview in that movie...

  • Helicopters have this thing called auto-gyro which allows them to land hard if the motor fails....... Land hard but not kill the entire passenger list especially of a commercial helicopter.... Stevie was murdered, Jimi Hendrix had his lungs filled with red wine at the autopsy, no one could understand how he drowned on red wine? it would require 2 people to force it down..... So his manager could collect the insurance on him.... Which he subsequently did... wonder if that guy collected the insu
  • @gomerpyleism maybe now they do, this was a foggy night where they crashed into the side of a mountain when the pilot thought he was further than he actually was from the mountain. jimi drowned on red wine. how can you not believe that? I've lost friends to puking in their sleep due to too much alcohol. that's how they drown. plus he had sleeping pills in his system.

  • NO ONE LIKE STEVIE RAY

  • Thank you Stevie for all your awesome music!! I always gotta grab a listen when I'm feelin down or anytime!!!!!!!!!

    RIP

  • In May 1988, SRV opened for Robert Plant in Ottawa. Not having been exposed to SRV but a huge Zep fan, I had to go. The next day at 09:00 I was in the record store picking up anything SRV. Totally blown away. Nobody will ever come close to him. Thanks Steve, though your burn was short, it was definitely the brightest. RIP.

  • Even in 1985', when he was killing himself with coke and booze, Stevies' talent still shined!!! You can tell though, that he wasn't healthy (pale skin, dark circles under his eyes, and his thin frame). I am so glad that he (Steve) managed to clean himself up for the 5+ years that he had left with us! Rest in Peace Steve,

    Respectfully,

    FD'

  • really love this song :)

  • Coupland Tavern in Coupland Texas. I have two stepped all over that dance floor. Better times and better music. People like Moe Bandy, Johnny Lee, David Allan Coe, Johnny Gimble, Willie Nelson, Gary P. Nunn, Eddie Raven, Johnny Rodriguez, Gary Stewart, Hank Thompson, Jerry Jeff Walker, John Conlee, Gene Watson, and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Who's gonna fill their shoes?

  • WHERE IS THE REINCARNATE STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN BUTTON WE NEED HIM MORE THAN EVER MUSIC SUCKS NOW!!!!

    Jus' sayin'.

  • "Stevie Ray Vaughan is the greatest rock guitarist"

    Eric Clapton And I agree.

  • Happy 57th SRV

  • In the dictionary next to the word virtuoso they could just print Stevie Ray's picture. He will always be the embodiment of that word

  • STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN ,, the simple way to describe the man is "ONE OFTHE GREATEST GUITARIST EVER !!!!!" in my mind he IS the GREATEST EVER but I don't want to get other saying other guitarists are better,,,,,,,HELL I DON"T CARE WHAT OTHER THINK !!!!! STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN IS THE GREATEST EVER !!!! PERIOD, END OF STORY !!! DON'T MENTION ANY OTHER GUITARIST BECAUSE YOU WOULD NEVER CHANGE MY MIND !!!!! and I really don't give a shit who you think is better,,,, cause your WRONG !!!

  • as if you'd block countries from seeing these videos you suck Vevo.

  • me gusta britney, pero... porfavor, que se salga de la pantalla.. quiero ver a vaughan =P

  • @VanDalgyonTheDark si muy porques es muy porque la jugamos de nada el baneo si mano porque es muy la manana si le porque

  • @MrBluesman000 EH???????

  • I think this was an allusion to his drug addiction, "you can't change it" he had to ask for help rather than take care of it himself. "get away from the blind side of life" could refer to him trying to stop drug use (if it was written after he got help, it would be about his success). He was pretty amazing with lyrics. Love Struck Baby can also be an allusion to his cocaine use, "Heart beatin crazy my blood runnin wild" we know what coke does to you.

  • what a contrast, SRV & lady kaka.

thanks for putting things in perspective, & fuck you vevo

  • Kick ass song I ever heard.

don't worry. it's kunty perry now...at least in the UK....what a fuckin improvement.

  • @44eelz use AdBlock Plus, you'll never have this problem again ;)

  • Even though I mainly listen to metal and dubstep, I love Stevie Ray Vaughan. He has such amazing talent and he inspires me when I play :)

  • Fucking idiots Vevo don't even know how to spell "Vaughan". And no, I don't wanna watch Britney Spears shit.

  • YEAH, WICKED ON THEE OLD GUITAR STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN

  • he absolutely turbo charged the blues, amazing talent, meeting him around 1987 was very cool indeed, a very nice individual, ferocious player.........

  • Saw him perform many, many, many times. Incredible perfomances and bad, loud drunk performances too. And was there his last night at Alpine Valley Wisconsin. It was an incredible weekend. When he got sober, his perfomances were awe inspiring!!! God worthy. Humble great man! Still to this day I think of that weekend and how happy I felt. SRV played incredible that weekend!

  • 3 dislikes? yea right!!! try to play like him i dare ya, ya know why cuz ya cant do it!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @jakepepsi1 Amen Bro

  • SRV is rockin with the angels.

  • If you use firefox browser, download Adblock plus and it will stop any stupid ads from appearing around the video. Go under tools, click on Add-ons, search for adblock plus and download it. Voila- no more stupid ads here or any other sites you visit.

  • @flyyspit ?????

  • This guy was a lot like Hendrix. He wasn't around that long, but changed the way blues was played. I've never seen anyone before or since play with such fire. He almost willed the sound to come out of the guitar. Another genius that was with us for far too short a time. Maybe when I die, I catch one of his shows in a bar up in heaven.

  • things are changin' around here... mostly me gettin' old an decrepit, lol, is that a word? come spring thaw i'll be a tad more mobile... i'm thinkin on heading out to try growing some cucumbers an tomaters... mehbe some spuds too. providin' i can get around at all :)

    great song

  • dear youtube,

Please for the love of god stop putting katy perry and justin bieber vevo ads around stevie rays videos. This is the third time i have seen it and it sickens me that you even have an image of shit and no talent around the a video of one of the greatest musicians and heros of all time. It needs to stop, its quite sad to disrespect stevie like that. Change it.

    Sincerely,

    Elliot

  • @eeeewd33

    Dear KNOB...

    FUCK off..You know why

    Sincerely FUCK YOURSELF

  • Stevie Ray Vaughan is a legend and will always be a legend in my book. Best blues/rock guitarist and best vocalist of the 80s in my opinion. R.I.P and may your music continue to play forever in your fans ears. I'm listening.

  • I can't believe that the background on vevo is Katy Perry, you can't even compere her to this man.

  • get away from the blind side of life

  • It was THIS song that got me into blues. My dad made a mixed tape when i was 3, (1991) and I made him replay this song over and over again! And even now, I cant get enough of it. Nothing can go wrong when this song is on!

  • very few musician whose's pro recording career was only 7 years are still as influential 22 years after their death

  • Is it just me, or does everything feel right with the world when this song's playing?

  • SIMLPY AMAZING VIDEO ♥ STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN S MUCH R.I.P. ANGEL OF BLUES ♥ YOU WILL ALWAYS BE ALIVE IN MY HEART ♥ YOUR VOICE, FACE , BODY , MUSIC EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU SOOTHES MY SOUL !!!!

  • Guess what vevo, kiss my ass!

  • When you see one of those lists that has the greatest songs ever on it, why isn't this song on it?

  • @kewlthings Exactly!

  • Bad ASS !!!!!!!

  • Man he looks like shit in this video. I guess that's what happens when do an 8 ball every day and drink your body weight. I think he did his best singing on Soul to Soul, just a damn good record.

  • My favorite SRV song of them all

  • hay does anyone know what kind of amp that is behind Stevie?

  • @Edwinthe7th -He got his amazing famous sound by playing thru a '59 Fender BassMan amp and heavy ass strings tuned way down. Amazing musician just amazing.

  • Dang ! He really was the best. I never really paid attention to his music before, but heard about it. Did Hootie & the B.Fish imitate him ? Sure sounds like they were at least inspired by his material. Thanks for posting these.

  • aah srv, the only person who could wear stuff like that without looking like an idiot..

  • @rokkerdude8 Stevie Ray Vaughan could have worn a cape and nobody would have questioned it.

  • Vevo can go fuck itself. advertising bitchs.

  • Kasich is my little sisters 1st grade teacher haha

  • I believe this is actually a Doyle Bramhall senior song.

  • one of the best thanks for posting RIP Stevie Ray xo

  • I can feel him feeling it...

  • one of my favorite tunes of all time....

  • Sadly, as many have pointed out, Stevie does not look 'healthy'. But this song & video are awesome! Stevie was an awesome musician & person & with his untimely death it left a lot of us with a ache in our heart still 20 yrs. later. It was & is great to know Stevie got clean & sobor and stayed this way close to 4 years! Yes, he was taken from us way too soon, but what Stevie 'left' us- no words can be found- except, Stevie will one day be performing for us again & we'll all have front row seats!

  • Very nice!! one badd ass pattern on GuiTar

  • there will never be another SRV rip hun!!! love this man!!!

  • man i still miss him. just tragic....

  • he dont look so hot in this vid.... this was during the time when he was hittin the coke hard..

  • I wonder where this was filmed at. The bar looks kind of like this place in Rosanky, tx.

  • @EbAbDbGbBbEb It's filmed at the Coupland Dance Hall/Coupland Tavern.

  • best there is

  • DAMN RIGHT

  • In the smallest seed of love, there is the promise of new life...rest my brother.

  • part of the back ground for the video was shot at enchanted rock state park north of fredericksburg, texas

  • the solo is just amazing

  • Simply awesome,......thankyou Doyle Bramhall for your profound influence on SRV.

  • The guy was amazing.

He doesn't look healthy in this video, glad he got clean before his death. I just wish we could have had him longer

  • yeah, he looks pretty sick, nevertheless he is one of the greatest guitarist ever! too bad he left so soon!

  • @BooSFla you are absolutely right........I have always thought he looked terrible in this video......to me he looked really tired and old......watch "The house is rockin'" video......he looks so good, of course that was after he got clean. I loved Stevie Ray, and I still do......he mesmerized me.... :)

  • @BooSFla God was like....now that he plays that good AND he's clean...I think it's time for him to join this band up here... I hope that when I die there are tickets to see that show in heaven, cause I'd die again just to see it.

  • @BooSFla Hadn´t noticed that before...actually he was pretty messed up at the time of this record. Simply an amazing artist, makes me feel totally inadequate as a musician...

  • @BooSFla This was made after he got clean No matter I will always think of Stevie as the best ever and always will be ! as long as my hands and fingers let me I will play in his style!!!!! Miss you SRV

  • i am so thankful i got to see him just before he died ill never forget thet concert and oh ya he was sober memories rip SRV you were one of a kind

  • Awesome song by an Awesome artist. God bless SRV
