@cxavier68 Any idea what you dyno at? I have a 96 with a PI swap and I was thinking of running Road Atlanta (I'm up in Clemson) but I don't think my brakes could hold up to it. 135-140 down to 50 or so? :S
@UncleHumjaba Yeah that's where I typically go with my mustang questions... I'm pretty experienced in AutoX but my only experience on track has been a 24 hour of lemons race. Are you still running NPI heads?
@UncleHumjaba This video was taken when I had PI heads. Current combo is an all aluminum high compression engine with trickflow heads. Still working on the setup but to hope to have it completely figured out and tested by end of year.
@nevermissclancom I did have cams. They definitely help. I have a new engine coming soon though. It should help alot. I am running Maximum Motorsports suspension.
Hey man, nice driving in a stang!!! I hope to be attending the NASA event either in Aug or Dec. I currently am scheduled to run Barbers May 29th and 30th in my 2010, which will be my second time there in my car. What tires are you running?
@cxavier68 How did the NT01s handle? Are you still using them? I ran the factory Pir Neros my first time out and will probably run them again but next DE/track day, I am going to change tires.
Very interesting! I have a 2000 GT that I thought I might dabble in Autocross and maybe time trials. What is under the hood? The MM stuff looks like a good start also; any advice appreciated. Thanks for the vid.
@hank5by5 Mustangs are affordable cars for open track. Not quite the most competitive autocrosser, but still fun. Time Trials is still to be determined though. This car has heads/cams/intake and exhaust making roughly 300rwhp at roughly 3500lbs with driver. MM has great stuff and their packages offer solid starting setups.
What I love about the Mustang is that it has underdog written all over it. Many didn't realize that it has a bit more than factory. Towards the end, the point byes were getting easier to get.
I also left a lot on the table in set up. There are so many options on making them fast. Some of the Corvettes will have to be careful. ;)
That GTR in the mud got me a bit nervous when he started heading on track with its wheels spinning. He wasn't paying as much attention as he should have been.
What kind of speeds did you hit on the back straight?

@UncleHumjaba The GPS recorded only 131-132.

@UncleHumjaba 300rwhp at 3500lbs. Carbotech XP10's work great. The corral.net has a good autox/rr forum for more info.

Although it's obvious that the guy can't drive it, I just wet myself from listening to that Ferrari.

I bet Cams would help you out on a road course like this. Our GT's have no top end. This looks like alot of fun. What suspension are you running?

Nice video! Way to run down those Ferrari's in the twisties! What suspension mods have you done?
aruddfan 1 year ago
Thanks! Drop spindles, MM panhard bar, and coilovers. I'm still debating if I should get a kmember and torque arm.
