How to make and use a gate effect within Reason PART 1

hi i use reason 4 and it does not let me do it no sound comes out cant hear nothing can you help me pls?? and sorry about my english its not my first languge

If I use the Matrix with a pad in NN-XT, I can't put a wire into a Amp lvl. If I press play, I can hear the pad just for 1 or 2 seconds and after that, the Matrix sound continues.. -> Wtf?

How do I solve this problem?

I really want to gate my pad..

Take a wire out from your Gave CV in the Matrix and patch it to the Master Volume of the NNXT. Remember to turn up the Master Volume control on the NNXT to full. Hope that this helps.
