There are problems with sound in 9.10 - if you upgrade you will most likely have no sound. Solution is to remove software driver which is in conflict with Alsa. I installed RT kernel - works fine.

JACK doesn't work for me I wish someone had some kind of assistance out there, everytime I try starting JACK it stops with and ERROR.
Sure, let's try to help you. What kind of error?
uncheck realtime in setup/settings/parameters

BTW, Ardour works straight from the ardour-package available from the (free) ubuntu repositories on 9.04 as of June.
Gotta try Jamin. Only tested the Rhythm Ferret beat detector plugin (works great). Have you tried other plugins?
can you split audio in ardour?

You can make a track into a stereo or mono,or duplicate the input track in other tracks in Ardour.Using the jack GUI to join up the sounds.
Great demo.
Jackd/Ardour/JAMin is definitely the way forward.
I use jack to reamp my DI'd guitar signal back out through my audio interface whilst recording the result.. No way you could do that on Windows. :)

You should do the voice-over for BBC2 when they announce the next programme like Open University for example.
