he's really skinny take a look at mine they need to be fed periodicly through out the day i feed in morning and at four but i leave seaweed on clip like two inches wide folded once
my step dad didnt get them..appearently theyre poisonus and if they bite you you swell up ALOT and they pour hot awter on you for an hour? is this true? he has the same setup with live rock and clown fish..and btw our clown fish have..well one of them has white spots on his mouth and side..will he die?
the dorsal spines of the foxface are venomous, but they rarely use this as a defense mechanism. Their first instinct is to hide. The venom is not very toxic and will only cause mild irritation and maybe some slight swelling. the clown sounds like it has a typical case of ich. this is a skin disease that can kill the fish if not treated. try to get some copper medicine if there are no invertebrates or coral in the tank. otherwise, just wait it out and see if it lives. hope this helps
@Ibanez3213 yes, but that will only kill the parasites on one fish... there are are still eggs and some parasites that aren't attached yet... this is just a quick fix. the tank should either be treated with copper based medications, but NOT if there are any inverts, live rock, or coral. The best would be to get it in a quarantine/hospital tank and put it in hypo.
The clownfish doesnt have ich dont know where u got that from. Also you never put copper in the display doesnt matter if u have inverts/corals or not, The copper will affect the BIO-FILTER of the tank. If the clownfish did have ich he needed to be quarantined and treated if there no extra tank a bucket works but feeding garlic enhanced food will boost there immune system which could let the fish fight it off on its own.
Both, and yes you can, just depends on the species of fish more than their diet. ie: Tangs typically cant go with many other tangs, angel fish cant go with other angels, etc.
Ive got a Humu Humu trigger and a Foxface, but the foxface is bigger than the trigger. they havent even attempted a fight after three weeks of coliving
if theres spots all over your foxface its from stress or from being scared and if you get stung by it lol your hand will be numb for a couple of hours
I just got one yesterday and have baby clown, like you. Clown does the same thing - always wants to play, but the clown stays away when the foxface goes into camouflage, pointy mode, lol. Hey, what happens if you get stung when cleaning the tank? I asked the guy when I bought him and he laughed and said just be careful and that he's never been stung. Didn't answer my question. Does anyone know? Cool video! Thx, Michelle
