yes, guys we get t. some parts of this sound like big sur moon by buckethead, but i like this better, and i am a buckethead fanatic. this song is more major sounding than big sur moon. anyways this guy is great and i am buying this guitar without hesitation.
oh it sounds like he's using a scale that i learned about from a sweet tab, is there a tab for this? i can't read music because i play metal and therefore assume music education is stupid, and i have this 500 dollar korean guitar duude, it shreds so hard when you plug it into a line 6 spider 2 on insane and sweep really loud at guitar center.
Metal has nothing to do with. metal takes a lot of skill to play. obviously musical education in beneficial in many aspects. I play metal but also study my different types, i enjoy classical too, going to college for music theory when im out of high school as well.
cool man, you just described exactly myself and a friend of mine. Mohawk college for us, quite fitting if you ask me, its actually a reference to the native American Mohawk, but i have my own interpretation of the Mohawk, individual expersion. i have short hair though, its just a metaphor.
@danpluso What the shit are you talking about? There are people who are able to learn how to play an instrument really wel without knowing how to read music. I mean, come on, you make me sad =(.
@Yesterdayss Did you read my comment at all? let me say it for you again "If you play guitar and think music education is stupid then just stop playing now and sell your guitar". Of course there are good players that don't read music but to tell me they didn't learn any music theory is completely stupid. Even if they didn't take lessons, they still discovered and learned music theory on their own. I still don't see where READING music came from. I'm talking about Music Theory.
lol. I can look at any sheet music and figure it out, i can even write it down and figure it out, but i can't look at sheet music and play it. I've been told that there are two kinds of musicians, those who are taught, and those who just have it. I've never been taught, so i hope that all(to me) messing with whatever instrument i pick up and 'get' a good sound from becomes something of note(no pun intended)...wish me luck
Dunno know per the metal connection, i just enjoy creating
solo sounds amazing! I'm also absolutely happy with my C-1. does anybody know this solo? doesn't quite match lifting shadows from dream theater to me. not a big deal to transcribe the intro until the harmonics. but is anybody able to tab the rest? thx, Hannes
Nope, that's a South Korean-made Diamond Series C-1 Plus. You can buy one for $599 just about anywhere. I have two of them, a 2000 model in Cherry Sunburst with Seymour Duncan JB Model/'59 Model pickups and a 2004 model in Vintage Sunburst with SH-5 Duncan Custom/'59 Model pickups. Check out my channel for a demo video of the Cherry Sunburst one. It's the same guitar as in the above video, just the finish is different.
Yeah, it sounds great if you want a versatile sound. The SH-4 JB Model is great for everything from rock to metal and the SH-1n '59 Model is the warmest, smoothest neck pickup out there, in my opinion. I'd recommend getting them with nickel covers. Covered pickups have a more balanced sound and they're not as harsh-sounding on the top end. Makes the harmonics less shrill and ear-piercing, too.
fucking bad ass....i love that change..i could imagine it with heavy distortionn and drums...it reminds me of a song by dream theater...i think its called..lifting shadows check it out.

true but you're wrong. the source of this vid has a description which states he's using a guitar straight off the shelf and not his own.
So i spose the only thing thats different between mine and his is the color.
But, great improvisation on Cella's part. great riffs ;)
Gotta love clean with delay!
