Dancing is forbidden in the mainstream of Islam, but within Sufi dancing is very important. For Sunnis and Shia praying takes a form of standing, kneeling, and reciting the words quietly, but for one who chooses the path of a Sufi, dancing and singing is essential part of their praying to god.
It does not matter how you pray to god, as long as you have a way and you adhere to it. There is more than ONE way to pray to god.
so the name Sufi's in another words are people who accepts everything as the Koran states as i have in my previous reply mentioned what "SUFI" means.
The Whirling represents so much more, than u & I can understand at this stage
"in order to KNOW you have to STUDY & LEARN Knowledge, understand, & put into practice (use)"
To give U a hint: When muslims r (Tawaf) circling the Kaba, that has a deep logical yet mysterious reason, therefore we can say the same to "whirling" dervishz
Well it is confusing to a degree when information about a certain topic or aspect is insufficient, and confusion will become conspicuous through reading before coming to a conclusion.
Yeah, the best thing is to just be a muslim and practice what the koran has stated and a series of hadith's that are genuine and compatible with Koran.
Its simple when when thought of it as such, and hard and complex when thought as such.
This isn't entertainment, this is education. They are spreading the lessons of their Maula Rumi, that is the lesson of Love, not otherwise. It does not matter how you pray to god, as long as you don't divert the prayer away from god.
some Persian pronunciations when reading the poems are wrong, I would suggest you study the meaning of the verses in order to recognize the exact pronunciations at some parts. Thanks for the beautiful upload !

Its ok! lets not ALWAYS be critical of one another!
look for the good in others and, each and every situation.
Just enjoy the moment.
The rest does not matter!
God bless you!

It has also been said that:
His proper name is Molana Mohammed Jalaldin Balkhi Rumi.
if he had stayed long enough in Baghdad, that name would have been also added to him!
مولانا جلال الدین محمد رومی بلخی
Regardless, he thought us that we all come from one source!

brumi4lyfbraaap786 2 years ago
Because they are in love, with god. This is a form of praying, a mystics way of being close to god.

so do these people not pray namaz?
brumi4lyfbraaap786 2 years ago
Their dancing IS namaz. While dancing, the sufis recite a prayer.
Javinax 2 years ago
@brumi4lyfbraaap786 :
They do pray the obligatory prayer, that which is stated.
but this form sufi dancing (whirling) (sema) has a more deeper meaning for me and u to understand.
ferdowsi88 2 years ago
oh so they do pray 5 times a day aswell?
brumi4lyfbraaap786 2 years ago
yes: Yes:
If you call this dancing, well it has a name called "SEMA".
but dancing surely isn't haram: Depending on where and with whom you dance.
And yes they do read the Koran, with utmost certainty they understand better what the Koran states, than stereo type muslim.
In another words "SUFIS" are "WALEEULLAH" meaning "friends of God" in another words they are very close to god.
If you read the peoms of Mowlana Balkhi you will find that everything he says is compatible with "Koran And "LIFE

but this is so confusing
i cant beleive their are soooo amny schools of thought in Islam
i mean why cant u just be a Mozlem without these names and just follow what God told us to do?
isnt that just sooo much more simpler in stead of being divided into sects?
brumi4lyfbraaap786 2 years ago

"more simpler in stead of being divided into sects? "
This is NOT a sect. you have this matter confused.
"soooo mny schools of thought in Islam"
No there isn't any schools of thought, but more or so school of practice, as is this one but i have never heard any other?
Brum..: don't confuse yourself, these people ARE JUST muslims without any "name".
e.g "MOWLANA is a term given to those who are highly knowledgeable of the Koran and everything that concerns life and "PRACTICE IT" (cont)..
