  • i do this exercise while browsing youtube, yes right now too

  • how much weight? 5lbs?

  • high reps yeh for toning but honestly ya better off hittin bout 20kg each arm n squeeze at the point of curl . Dont do reverse curls its not a natural movement instead wrist twists.

  • these ads are annoying

  • @planotxable the one I had was in some other language. Youtube should try to match the add's language to that of the video.

  • People say expert village is a waist of time. Then that means their watching the wrong videos.

  • PEOPLE Please dont do exercise at 0:51, I got friggin Tennis Elbow from that...I am recovering now. I was in so much pain. I hate youtubers sometimes.

  • @garysaran The reason that happened to you is because you used way too much weight for a reverse wrist curl. The muscles that are used for the reverse wrist curl will never be anywhere near as strong as the ones for the normal wrist curl, so you have to make sure to use even lighter weights for reverse wrist curls.

  • is 15 pounds light enough/

  • @MrMADDCARROT im 15, and thats how much im lifting, im doing about 3 sets of 30. i can do more reps, but idk if itll make a differnece

  • On every single forearm exercise video the top comments are always about the same thing.

  • @403766 it only helps ur triceps

  • lol is this dude black or latino? i know its off subject but i couldn't tell

  • Comment removed

  • @recx Maybe he's "Blatino." But I was wondering the same thing. Blacks, latinos, middle easterns; we all can have very similar features.

  • @iwanfishz9 The strength of your punch is not directly related to the strength of any muscle in your body; allthough muscle strength contributes the majority of the power comes from a perfect punching form, which utilises momentum from your toes, back leg, hips, back and finally your arm. This comes with practise. The strength of your wrist however does help avoid injury when punching.

  • this is such a great workout if you play basketball

  • @403766 don't forget shoulders and triceps

  • Hey Guys!

I forgot where i heard this but i want to know if it is true.

is the power of your punch determine by the strength of your wrist?

  • Comment removed

  • You big bicep forearm roots tree trunk veins photosynthesis body buff douchebag thanks for the lesson

  • curl it in and then flexthsss it upthsss

  • Will it Strengthen my wrist? Cause when i punch the punching bag my wrist always bend in

  • @jethrotay i'd wear some wraps if thats happening to you

  • @coliemc Ohh. OK thanks :)

  • thank you sir my forearms are burning

  • bro you need to do some talking excercises, you sound like Bu' wheat.

  • @mrsarpong if you want the best answer you should go see a doctor about it

  • @403766 Remember to do it with both arms though or else you'll end up like me one big arm one small arm

  • well, masturbating actually makes ur dick smaller in the long run, just to let you know.

  • when i do it back ways i hear a lot of cricking

  • @godmode9 lol

  • U are FAGEEETT]\

  • @godmode9 then it should work pretty good for me lol

  • the best forearm exercise period is the behind the back barbell curl.

  • @403766 if things worked like that, my forearms would be bigger than the hulk ones.

  • @alastarian1 My right arm would wear clothes it would be so big!

  • fo auhms

  • caaaaarltooon!!

  • yubs

  • dude is hawt

  • @manicnoize gay?

  • whos the name of this guy?

from many exercise videos i found in youtube.. this guy's explanation.

its simple and to the point..unlike the other timewaster coach.

  • lol bruno mars

  • this person is probably the only person in expertvillage who knows wtf he's talking about.

  • We wanna use light weights, so we're gonna use this olympic weight barbells to work our forearms... If only :P

  • @403766 lmao clownin

  • a powerful forearm would knock someones lights out

  • a powerful forearm is a powerfull arm!!!!!

  • You definitely want to get a light weight for this.. so should we use a 5 pound weight or the 15 pounder your using?

  • @LandonThomas23 well hes pretty buff so a 15 pounder cud be light for him lol.

  • @skar420c I would like to know the same thing

  • what can i do with a dumb bell to make my wrists more thick?!???????

  • How tall are you?

Steroids make you grow taller ?

  • This workout makes your forarm so veiny people will think you jackoff 24/7

  • it's easier to just use a bench press bar for both exercises; works both arms at the same time ;)

  • Soo do which? The First one or the Second one?

  • Very useful, thanks!

  • is this workout even necessary?

  • @MetaIhead89 Yes for Tennis and Badminton...

  • 0:01

  • does this strengthen your wrist as well?

  • If you wanna increase your height " Helpo Growth Formula "

Just google it. Worked for me....

  • palm facing down seem more difficult...

  • @atthemund Yeah

  • how heavy are those light dumbells?

  • @lordazmodeus Not that heavy because he said to do high reps, you can only do high reps with lighter dumbbells

  • @lordazmodeus 10lbs

  • Holy shit shoulders lol damn nice job man

  • WOW his arms are MASSIVE!

  • High reps? Could you be more specific?

  • @CrimsonSuperNova Do it over and over.

  • @toks619 You sir, are retarded.

  • @CrimsonSuperNova he maybe retarded but your a douche for sure

  • @JCMon3y08 Well, effectively you just called him retarded AND me a douche; That makes you the bigger douche. Think about it.

  • @CrimsonSuperNova Be more specific? Lets see, high reps, hmmmm. What could that possibly mean? Don't start telling people that they are retarded you are the dumbshit.

  • @Erizic8790 My God, wtf is up with all you people. If you're gonna bother replying to my post, then just kindly answer my question and not pointless hate-mail.

"Be specific" does not mean "what is the definition of high reps". It means "Okay, by high reps, how many do you mean? a numerical value perhaps?"

If you don't understand that, then by all means, me and anyone else should and DOES have the right to call you retarded. That is all. Have a nice day =)

  • I was doing wrist curls and i THINK i've managed to sprain my left wrist.. it's been hurting for about a month, and hurts mainly on rotations left and right rather than moving it up and down. Anyone know if this sounds like a sprain? and how long they usually take to heal? Also is there anything i can do to accelerate healing?

  • @TSkillaaa The same thing happened to me, I put a bandage on and in a few days it was ok... so put a bandage on and make sure it is tight, but not too tight. Maybe the weight you were lifting was too heavy?

  • @TSkillaaa you can put it in one of them braces, can get em at walmart, krogers, cvs, etc.itll hold your hand in the correct form for your wrist. its going to limit your movements for certain things tho.

  • Thanks

  • Is 100, 'high reps' ...?

  • @BaddersMadd very high

  • The cameraman is stupid...

  • @redseed Sooo true.

  • When you say use a "lighter weight" for this particular exercise, would a 20lb dumbell be ok? P.s. I am 18.

  • @ThreeCousinsAndaNoob its relative to you so try the dumbell do about twenty reps if you feel no fatigue in crease the weight.i shoot for 20 reps when i do it but i use 35s but i could max it with 45s so im probly doing about 75% weight. (75% of max weight for that lift)

  • Contact me at flexordigitorumsuperficialis@gmail.com if you have a specific question, and want a detailed comprehensive answer. My only intent in posting these criticisms is to stop people from wasting their time by listening to, and following the advice of people like this guy. I am eagerly anticipating the day when personal trainers will be required to be LICENSED in New York State. When that day arrives, there will be a lot of "experts" switching careers, or heading to New Jersey.

  • If a driving instructor referred to the steering wheel as "this round thing", would THAT be a problem? Using your logic, I suppose it would not. For most people, however, it would not inspire confidence, and, in fact, make them feel that he might not be qualified to teach. Unfortunately, most people(yourself included) don't have the background knowledge to draw a distinction between a real expert and someone posing as one. I hate seeing people waste their time listening to the wrong people.

  • Some people don't have the capacity to absorb or retain certain information. The fact that you referred to the names of the muscles in the forearms as "crazy exercise lingo" proves that. The exercises CAN be demonstrated without the naming of the specific muscles worked, but you need to know what their functions are. The guy NEVER mentions the terms "flexion" and "extension" when explaining the movements. Those terms are from forearms 101. As "simple" as it gets. He never even mentions them!

  • @hhhk20 This guy did not mention the actual names and that is not a problem. It seems you’re the only person to have a problem with this guy. Maybe he does know the terms and thought there is no reason to refer to them because he knows what the audience wants. I can easily retain the information on the specifics of the human muscles if I want to; I just do not see how that will help me throughout any part of my life. You are in this job field and must learn, not a matter of "can't" but "want."

  • I wish people would realize that this guy is as far from an "expert" as one could be. I have spent so much time getting my degree, attaining nationally recognized certifications, and continuing to improve as an instructor (not just by lifting weights 6X a week, but by continually educating myself),that this guy pisses me off. I'm pretty muscular, but it's my education and ability to communicate that make me a successful trainer. Listen to a qualified trainer. NOT this guy!

  • Dude, stop putting out these videos. You are displaying your lack of knowledge. The wrist flexors are palmaris longus, flexor carpi radialis, and flexor carpi ulnaris. If this is supposed to be a tutorial on wrist flexion, then why don't you refer to the specific muscles being worked? Rolling the weight to the fingertips also involves flexordigitorumsuperficialis, which serves double duty as both a finger flexor AND a wrist flexor. Did you know that, Mr. "expert"? You are embarrassing yourself!

  • @hhhk20 lol, I think you’re embarrassing yourself. The video was meant to be a simple forearm workout that would not need any crazy anatomy lingo. I think he was aiming for a simple workout. Haha, who are you trying to impress?

  • @fddf44 Not trying to impress anyone. Just trying to bring to light the fact that the guy is uneducated. Just as I didn't choose to call the muscles that perform knee flexion "quadriceps", I didn't choose the names of the forearm muscles. Those are the names! I just LEARNED about them, and their respective functions. You refer to the exercises as "simple". The exercises ARE simple, but the corresponding explanations need to be comprehensive, if one is presenting themselves as an "expert".

  • @hhhk20 think about the audience the video is intended to help, I'd be willing to be 90% of the people who view this neither know nor care what a flexor carpi radialis is. This video is obviously intended to help people at a novice level with some basics.

  • @100dllrVilliaN You are missing the point. This guy is not choosing to leave out specific words to better appeal to a certain audience. He isn't using them because he is UNEDUCATED. He doesn't mention them because he doesn't know where they are or what their respective functions are. Not necessarily specifying "flexor carpi radialis" is OK, but not referring to BASIC terms (whether anyone wants to hear them or not) like "extension" and "flexion" is not OK.

  • @hhhk20 ic ic, I misunderstood. I didnt actually notice he was using made up words, lol XD

  • jesus h christ ... would not want to tick this guy off

  • ok, so i was doing this exercise until one of my friend told me that this might cause carpal tunnel syndrome? uh....is that true?

  • @MischievousAlien

Prolonged extreme flexion of the forearm can lead to carpal, and so can prolonged extension. The best forearm exercises are those that keep your wrist neutral, such as farmer's walks, shrugs and deadlifts.

  • do you do wrist curls AND the reverse wrist curls from your other video? or do both of these exercises essentially work the same muscles?

  • how many times i hav to do this?

  • just jerk off!!!

  • How many reps should i do and how many sets.

  • Thats how I do it.

  • ok fags prove this... if the guy in the vid is so buff, then why would he be wrong?

  • Don't to this exercise. My friend got tenosynovitis from it.

  • @AndreasFalk8 then he did it wrong

  • @AndreasFalk8 your a retard

  • @KrayzieDA Go to school please you uneducated dick.

  • @rasmusfalk suck my nuts fag

  • when i get results??

  • Check out my vid and get your free guide!!

  • god damn Carlton has gotten pretty ripped since the Fresh Prince

  • @YouTubMAGGOT hahahahaha thats fuckin funny

  • @YouTubMAGGOT this is Carlton ?? :DD

  • @YouTubMAGGOT , dude, you never call a grown man Carlton lol

  • Can you train forearms everyday? Bruce Lee used to do but I don't know if you have to allow for a days recovery....?

  • Does this exercise make your wrist and forearm bigger, or does it only strengthen it?

  • the best forearm/wrist exercise is to open and close your hands fast with your arms being straight out, til you can´t feel your hands

  • This is great..

  • how often should i do weight lifting?.i heard that doing this everyday damages muscle and delay its developement,,someone pls?thanks

  • @GsxRaider 3 days rest is recommended.

  • @masterleo33 hey thanks,,what would likely happen if you do lifting weights everyday?

  • @GsxRaider see muscles dont grow while your lifting them they grow the days u dont lift them meaning if you overwork the muscle group while it is in rest then you will likely stuff up the growth of your muscle and other stuff that people say. if you have a labourer job meaning you work in building sites and plumbing and jobs like that you should take an extra two days to rest.

  • @masterleo33 thanks!! great help thanks a lot!

  • @GsxRaider the thing is that when you work out progressively harder, meaning pushing yourself to the limits, harder and harder every time you cause microtrauma to your muscle fibers. the body reacts to this by healing the damaged fibers and adding more so it is less susceptible to damage in the future. that's why you have to allow the muscles to recover.

  • I have thin wrists and was wondering if one way of eating would help aswell? so yes can you tell me? :)

  • good info :) how much should u do of these

  • Good info :) My only complaint is the text is in the way some of the time other than that great vid! Thank you for the instruction.

  • how often can or should you do these (days during the week)?

  • @bklyn977, I train my forearms 3-4 times a week, with my normal training, just 10 minutes. After a few weeks you realy notice that your forearms are getting stronger, only I use a barbell, leaning my arms on a bench, and also a barbell for the reverse curl for the upper forearms. Of course it's personal how much you train it, but I think maximum of 3/4 a week.

  • thanks!

  • u dont really need to do this excercise that much because if u think about it most lifts u do ur forearms have some strain on them. i maybe do these once every 2 weeks with 4 sets of 20reps, but i use the barbell and curl it behind my back.

  • Oh those subtitles spoiled everything in vid dude :|

  • Turn them off then. The button furthest to the right.

  • How many sets/reps should you do? To hypertrophy muscles is supposed to be between 8-12, would this be the same for wrists and ankles? A lot of people say high reps and short rest periods should be used but I'm not sure.

  • I have that same bench set! Also great vid!

  • aMAZING video you have !!! Thanks for the ideas : please watch my videos also thanks :)

  • u can increase the wildth and thickness of wrists but it takes years of practice, need calcium and bulk up a lot ur forearm. look @ j cena enormous hands forearms wrists. TRAIN using rotation with really heavy , and deadlifts, grip exeercises, but all very heavy cause the forearm wrist are very hard 2 grow( we use them in almost any activity)

  • One thing to add to the comment below: using a bar to do this, I am in a standing position with my arms fully extended. The bar is resting lightly against my quads--and I jsut curl my wrists, focusing on contracting the forearms muscles. Never had any problems doing this exercise that way over many months.

  • I dio this with a bar, rather than dunbells. I did it with 100 pounds tonight, but started with around 70 pounds a month ago. That much weight seems to go against his advice, but I've aleays done them that way when I'm into working out--I.m not a big guy either. I find it takes about 15-20 reps to feel a burn, and about 25 to reach a failure point.

  • LIGHTWEIGHT!!

  • why all these people acting up this guy can knock u silllllly still. just listen to him this guy is a pro.

  • @samerj how do you know? GSP said it doesn't matter how much muscles you got on your are but about your core. YO

  • Can this possibly increase the width of my wrists? I know it's mainly bone but I also heard that there is muscle there too. Can I thicken my wrists by doing this exercise?

  • @Kra7as yeah .. i would like to know how to increase the width of my wrist.

  • @Kra7as I have the same problem I want to get my wrist size bigger but ive heard the same thing that its mostly bone and i cant do anything about it. Having small wrists sucks. If anyone has a solution plz let me know.

  • I know how you feel Kra7as; my wrists are so skinny. I can wrap my thumb and pinky around my wrist. The rest of me is not skinny at all. I'm basically average, but I have these alien wrists. I'm hoping, as you are, that I can build them up a little bit.

  • i refered just 2 the wrists. im 5 10 and 150 pounds and have wrists that big. his arms and forearms are something to behold, but wrsits like that dont look good. look at his hands in relation to his huge biceps . looks uglyi CAN BEAT HIM .dumbass bogapeno

  • look at his girly wrists, looks like shit with those arms

  • @mabuskiller Haha. Look who`s talking, shitface. Lol. Maybe you saw your own face in the mirror and cofused it with his wrists? Lol.

  • Ahh, how cute, youre over-compensating.

  • Bruce was always working on his forearms. He'd pick up a weight and go to the edge of the sofa and start doing wrist curls while he was watching TV

  • are my wrists/forearms suppose to feel like a burn? cause i dont feel anything when he i do it palm side up but when i do palm down i feel something....idk if im doing them wrong rofl

  • @wwagnar try a heavier weight when u are doing them the lighter the weight the less you get, for me the first exercise hurts like hell, but the second one doesnt.

  • keep going till it burns (Y) i have to do about 15 before it starts burning

  • carlton?

  • great video

  • hey cud any1 help me ive bin doin forearm exercises for a while and the tops of my forearms are coming along nicely my wrists r still reli skinny not sure if im doing something wrong or if theres a wrist exercise i can do?

  • Ive read that wrist thickness is due to fat and bone structure. You cant increase the size of the muscle at your wrist because there is no muscle there. The only way that could increase the size of your wrist is to do this.

Then again, I could be wrong.

  • @MeVsHer0 This isn't to make muscle in ur write omg LOL. wrist curls work up your forearm !!! OMG LOL

  • Did this for this first time the other day my forearms are still killing haha

  • he kinda looks like carlton from fresh prince

  • it IS him!!!!

  • Nah, carlton is played by Alfonso Ribeiro, this is Brad Aubry they look a lot alike tho, but this guy is buffer

  • how many reps?

    like 15?

  • How much u can do. Thats how much reps. u dont want to go overboard. I remember doing a ab exercise and I did alot cuz I missed days of not doing it then the next day I went through the day with my stomach hurting. I think my right arm hurted too.

  • I'll sure try this workout!

  • I still cant imagine how you could possibly cause injury to your wrist or your forearm doing this excersise.

  • good form.

  • THANKS

  • is this good for getting better at arm wresteling?

  • no, shoulders, back, and pecs for arm wrestling

    Arms are not important.

Ironic how it is called arm wrestling.

If you are going to cheat with your wrist..... then yeah.

  • my right forearm is huge from masterbating
