Nice song, great voice. But let's get serious - what a poor production. I mean, the annoying keyboard sequencer, the cheap drumbeat. Sounds like a european homerecording. Face the truth: Nicolette, brillant as she was, had so much better moments. R.I.P.
@vasdishuh In a way .. I agree. When she won # 1 song in'79, for "lotta Love", they made her get all dolled up 4 the tv broadcast. She rolled her eyes into the camera, I believe.. in protest. She was never a dolled up princess. Just a beautiful soul, w/ a beautiful voice. Rest in Peace N.L.
Rest in peace Nicolette, queen of hearts. Your untimely departure left millions of earth residence thirsty and unsatisfied. I hope Gods of Eden, those selfish pricks don't get to enjoy you at all.
Another song co-written by Nicolette, she even did her own backing vocals for this song, recorded of course, on a seperate track. I saw her once, if only in a dream; and she was vibrant and alive, the way it seemed...............................
Nicolette, may she rest in peace! I will always treasure her music and my favorite, "Lotta Love" I miss her very much but now she sings for the heavens.
Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
@NAMDOG54 -- Thanks NamDog! It took me a while to figure out that the song was not actually called Renegade. I kept waiting to hear that word in the song. I know the movie is a western- but never saw it.
Thx for giving me the proper title to the song. I never get tired of LOTTA LOVE which I think defined her- but to now realize how much talent she had and what great songs she had out, is kind of bittersweet now that she is gone :-(
does anyone remember a song called "savannah" that came out round the same time as this hit the charts? i cant find out who sang it, it was in this same kinda sound genre
i was laying on the couch in 1997 with the newspaper dozing off when i saw her obituary and i thought it was dream until i woke up and read the article.
she died the same year my best childhood friend from the late 1960s died he was 32 she was 45.
when i first saw her in 1978 she reminded me of someone i knew as a very young child in the late 1960s but i still don't know who that was but it was as if i knew her or someone like her.
This is sad. She was so beautiful. What did she die from? I had read this before some place and wasn't sure until now until it's been confirmed in yet your post. I feel awful about her dying. She had a magnificent voice!
I met Nicolette at The Pier in Raleigh back in the mid 70s when she was touring with Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen. I was impressed by her vocal talents and her beauty so when I saw her standing at the bar I walked over and talked to her for a few minutes. Such a beautiful woman who left us too soon.
She was a beautiful woman with a terrific voice. Another one of the good people that were taken from us all too soon. Thank you for posting this video from a super person. May she R.I.P.
Great pics Barth ....Anyone who has ever had the pleasure of being around Nicollette will tell you how much of a joy she was..Always kind and humble. Everyone just wanted to give her a great big hug !! Peace
She song back up on alot !! of great songs.......But they will never as beautiful as she.....1952- 1997 and she had ALOTTA LOVE !!!!! she will always be an angel to me.........if you listen to that song i know it will put a smile on your face !!.....love you " Nic "............don
Thank you! I LOVE Nicolette. Her voice just gives me goose bumps every time I hear her. For my "Myspace" song I have chosen "French Waltz" It absolutely makes my smile and cry at the same time...and my beautiful Wife knows that he only possible competition she could ever have had is now "and probably was ever" totally out of reach...
Never heard this song before! It's beautiful. I bought every one of her albums but I cannot find a copy of Shadows of Love! In fact, it wasn't until a few years ago that I found out it even existed.
''Shadows of love '' is of of print in any media form. It was produced in Italy in , I believe, 1988. Keep checking EBAY, sometimes it comes up a a bid item. Let us know if you find a copy.......
My mom used to sing me "Ooo-Eee" when I was a baby. She almost cried when she found she died in about 2004. I bought a lot of her stuff on e-bay to get it on CD and I will definately share it if I get it. "Shadows of Love" I doubt was released on CD tho right? I remember I even did my college Public Speaking speech on her and even at that time (2003) they had no mention of the album on her fansites.
