Im a European fan myself sharkdude, we have special cable sportspackages here which include hocky, its espn so its a two game selection a day, but sometime they have sharks games. It is midnight for me then yes, but they re-run the entire game next day. I just avoid reading the scores and it's kind of nice, viewing it without the commercials. All play-of games are on and I do stay up late for those to see them live :-)
Anaheim had a hot goalie in Hiller who had a record setting series against San Jose, and the Ducks as a team had to play out of their mind desperate hockey the last quarter of the season to make it into the playoffs. A team that won the President's Trophy should never lose to an 8 seed. However, the Ducks played a better series and left it all on the ice.
Wow...how original...If they sucked they wouldn't make it to the playoffs every year, they wouldn't have won the President's Trophy this year with half the team out, they wouldn't have broken several NHL records this year, they wouldn't be a team that is feared and a force to be reckoned with season after season. i mean when the sharks were underdogs before and were 8th seeds, theyve knocked off 1st seeds before. And the Red Wings were a 1st seed and the best team a few years ago and they lost to the Oilers in the first round.
