im from sydney and there's lots to be said about the sydney v melbourne rivalry but at least melburnians and sydneysiders sound/speak the same. unlike adelaideans who pronounce "plant" and "dance" as "plar-nt" and "dar-nce", u get the idea..
my accent changes dramatically according to my mood - sometimes if i'm shy around a girl i can sound totally girly! but other times i can sound very macho if i'm in "idle" mood. like if a friend suddently meets me on the street or something.. i don't get it how other people can sound so "constant" compared to me
I have to admit that I do enjoy the way that you sound. I've watched Emma's version of this too, and I can hear the regional differences in your voices more clearly now.
@MsLanie74 Some Australians say fizzy drink lol, or call it by the brand names. Plus we have lemonade (sprite)... whereas Americans' version of lemonade is not fizzy
i find these vids so interesting.. i watched a ton on tumblr and youtube already, and then you happened to upload one too, haha. Almost everything you said was different than the way I say them. so weird.
aussie accents are much more similar to each other than places throughout the UK or the USA!

We say soft drinks where I come from as well. I always thought we were the only ones. Neat that you use it there too.
