  • Alan moore is a hypocrite, he wrote, reimagine the Leage of extodenary gentlemen, pluss his take on Batman for a while, writers reimagine their take on a character all the time, Frank Miller reImagined Batman with Year One, moore is a hasbin bitter hypocrit now

  • PROTEST BEFORE WATCHMEN! JOIN THE FACEBOOK GROUP! -

     PROTEST! BEFORE WATCHMEN!

  • @TheHolycrap1 alan moore cocksucker. I'm giving those prequels a chance.

  • i love the graphic novel and i loved the movie even tho of course i like the novel better. i would love to see a series about the minute men and about the watchmen during there glory days even if mr.moore who is a genius opposesses it

  • @zombieconfederate420 well said. moore may be a genius, but he's also a a cynic. No one likes that.

  • Is anyone gonna read this they fucked up watchmen only Alan Moore should write it

  • I'll check it out. It's not like it's going to change how good Watchmen is. I'm excited to see Darwyn Cooke's take on the Minutemen. He did a good job with multiple characters in The New Frontier.

  • @BatmanOneOhOne the artwork he did for the team is...beautiful. ^^ Silhouette's fedora and trench makes me thing of her as..sort of a female version of The Spirit or Midnight. Dollar Bill kinda reminds me of Kronk from disney.

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I do not want to see a prequel c'mon DC stop it you used to be cool watchmen is the best coic book ever (my opinion) don't pull a Lucas!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • To be honest, im probably not going to read these. All they are is cash ins on Watchmen, we already know what we need to know about the characters. Now I would not mind seeing a prequel using the Minutemen, now that would be interesting.

  • Alan Moore can't be happy about this.

  • I can't wait for these comics. I think it's pretty ironic that Alan Moore is trashing it and is all upset that people are adding to his work, but he wrote both League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen, which featured characters from tons of classic literature, and Lost Girls, which had Alice from Alice In Wonderland and Cinderella trading sex stories. He's such a fucking hypocrite, haha.

  • @odstspartans0ldier13 Na to be fair watchmen follows the book better than most comic book adaptions, the directors cut has more scenes from the book in it, other than the ending, the movie didn't change much of the story, rather it just left stuff out. The book was just too long to fit into film so alot of it was cut. Hell, it was over 2 hrs long.

  • is it weird tht i read the comic then saw the movie and ddnt rly see a difference?

  • FucK YES! enough said!

  • i'll still watch it :)

  • i thot watchmen were supposed to be evil and the villians are good in that world as seen in justice league??? i would still like to see a prequel

  • where's the hot chick?

  • marvel is better

  • The Watchmen is my favorite super-hero movie, I'd love a prequel

  • no, D.C. Comics.. Go creatively make money some other way

  • as long i get to see Dr. Manhatan's dick

  • "Nothing ends...nothing ever ends"

    -Dr. Manhattan

  • Bad, bad idea.

  • Alan Moore is a genius and DC should know better than to go against him... That being said, the movie was brilliant, and Moore was against that as well. So who knows how this might turn out? But I'm personally not buying into DC's reasons... it's all about the money here.

  • No. No prequels please.

  • I like "Realistic" batman.

  • Nice David Bowie as the "Goblin King" Shirt... brought back memories of my childhood

  • @dajuanDAbomb love that movie, I put a link where I got that shirt and a bunch of other labyrinth shirts as well

  • no prequel unless my chemical romance is doing a cover im in

  • HAHAHA.. I HEARD SOMEONE SAY SUPARMAN

  • no

  • copied style of presenting from wtf joe show...pshaw!

  • i did like watchmen alot! but i thinks its not good to make more. the graphic novel was awsome!

  • It is obvious of course that DC are trying to build up a "little something" to expand this franchise and eventually make more movies.

Still, I loved the original Watchmen (the graphic novel AND the movie!) and I'm at least interested in what all this might turn out to be..

  • lol geeze DC disappointed with $50 million profit... assholes.

  • We need a Minutemen movie

  • only looking to see Rorschach

  • I LOVE watchmen and i`m interested to see how the prequel comics are going to turn out. Alan Moore seems to be an angry person. lol. i luv him as a comic book writer. but sometimes he needs to be more open to things. i dont know about a prequel movie but i`d like to read the comics.

  • If they have Rorschach then hell yeah, but with the same actor

  • No.

  • I thought watchmen was awesome I wouldnt mind seeing a prequel

  • nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

  • yes

  • Fuck yes, I loved Rorschach

  • @PROGAM4R well technically, Batman alone makes more than marvel movies combined. But Marvel sure does have MORE out. And then next year Man of Steel comes out. maybe that'll give DC a good boost

  • @PROGAM4R Confusing for 10 year old

  • No.I want to see a Debbie Does Dallas sequel.

  • Instead of a Watchmen 'Prequel', I actually wouldn't mind if they did the graphic novel movie 'adaptation' again and followed the original story WAY better.

I wouldn't mind if it was in cartoon form either. I mean we did get the motion comic Watchmen but I would love to see it actually animated in a big budget (or just good) adaptation.

  • @Oyajitchi Followed the original story better? Are you serious? Snyder's Watchmen movie was one of the most faithful comic book adaptations ever made. Half of the damn scenes were lifted from the comic panel by panel. Did you even see the movie..? Lol..

  • @r1dethesky Yup I definitely am sure I saw the movie and I still think it wasn't a really faithful comic book adaptation when you actually compare it to the Graphic Novel.

One big thing that I can point out that wasn't in the movie was the whole man-made alien scenario. That is just one example though. :\

  • @Oyajitchi But you don't prefer the movie ending over the alien thing? I dig the giant squid, but there was a fairly good chance that could've killed the movie, haha.

  • @r1dethesky Lol. I see what you did there. :P

I still wish they kept the alien premise and other things in the movie though. And also if I remember correctly, the original graphic novel wasn't very 'actiony' when compared to the movie.

I mean the movie was good, but it wasn't a good 'Watchmen' movie. I think that someone else, (or the original director) could have done better to stay true to the source.

  • i agree they covered alot of back story in the books alright so it will be intersting on how it plays out. i would like to find out more about rorschach

  • Love the Labyrinth tee underneath the shirt (or at least that what it looks like)

  • @luceph Yes. I'm a big Jim Henson's fan. There's actually a link in the description to a bunch of different Labyrinth t-shirts

  • @ClevverMovies Thanks for the link

  • @luceph So I made a mistake!! xD

  • just becuse there is going to be a prequal comic book ......does not mean there will be a film made..........more internet bullshit yawn

  • I clicked here for the yellow hot chick

  • I want to see Minuteman!! :DD

  • @1BBL5 you do realize it's minutemEn and it's a group of superheroes right?

  • Minuteman!!??

  • Lol after the watching the video about the WATCHMEN PREQUEL, The top 2 comments are about BATMAN..

  • They did to make a Rorschach movie.

  • @96madridista Nah, we all know who Bane is. It was introduced to us in the 'Batman and Robin' And this is a way better Bane than that one. This one is smart, evil, and great with plans. The other one was just some dumb brute. Yeah, he is not huge like in the comics, but lets just wait till the movie comes out. Give it a chance.

PS Im assuming you root for R. Madrid. Me too!! :D

  • @96madridista I did think Arkham Asylum/CIty were very balanced games. Between reality and comic book-y

  • @96madridista Having fun, hipster?

  • @96madridista if you didnt think that the dark night was fuckin great then you are nuts

  • @96madridista Nolan saved batman movies. also, why are complaining about batman on a WATCHMEN video?

  • @96madridista Dude as long as the character is well developed and Nolan doesn't make him go Bomb.....Bomb. and as for "Realistic BS" dude Batman is the most realistic hero in the DC universe so it works and I'm sure you read Batman Year One or Long Halloween thats the same vibe sure the Nolan movies aren't perfect but they do what they do great, even the Burton films, Returns is sort of a bad example, as surreal as the city is, it tries to be realistic.

  • It has rumored for a while that they're be a second coming to the Watchmen movie and I figured they'd just go through and cover all the shit they left out in the book. Now they're just starting a whole new project. I still can't wait for these new comics though :D

  • just putting it out there, i would watch it :)

  • Kinda bad idea I thought we seen before watchmen in watchmen ? Lol

  • Ugh. DC can go fuck off. The original graphic novel did enough on the back story of the characters and how the Minutemen started out through the closing excerpts from different fictitious autobiographies/write-ups with each chapter. This is completely unnecessary and I agree with both Moore and Joshua.

  • Minutemen? Fuck Yeah!!

  • I love watchmen, so I'm going to love this. With all due respect to Mr. Moore, he's great, but his work isn't perfect. It just gets better when people contribute to it.

  • Yes i love allan more's works... But Allan Moore is always against the movies, V for Vendetta, from hell and watchmen.

  • yeah I thought that they covered enough of the back story in the novel as well, but I always wanted to know more about Rorschach, so am I happy they are at least making a back story on him :)

  • No, Watchmen sucks!

  • Comment removed

  • @Nathanielsodan ...are you serious? CleverMovies gives movie updates that I enjoy watching (weather it is good or bad), so no need to start getting sad on the internet, kid...

  • i dont wanna see another 6ft blue wang at the movies

  • I'm with Alan Moore on this. The Watchmen movie was OK at best. But the rest of Alan's works that got turned into movies were absolute crap!

  • Only if Zack Snyder is directing!

  • a good super hero movie never stopped me from watching it over and over again

  • Yes I Do...Wanna See Another Movie...P.s Batman 1 & 2 Is Great But The New 2 Are The Best...

  • I'm with Allan Moore, but I'd still pay to get my hands on the books! The cover art is just so damn sexy!

  • This blows,Where's Ti Ti Ana Carrier and I would have loved it if Alan Moore and Dave Gibbon return do Watchmen. It's just not the same.

  • idc if they make it cuz im not paying for anyting xDD

  • no please no.

  • NO!

  • i'd watch it , but the main character i'd want to get more of is of course Rorschach

  • no no no no no no no

  • Comment removed

  • WHEREEEE IS TATIANAAAAAAAAAA???????????

  • OMG, NOOOOO

  • to be honest, i would like to see the movies but i think if they were to make another it should be of the minutemen a.k.a. the origianl watchmen. if it's released i would definitely see them though.

  • never knew spectre liked anal 1:13

  • never knew spectre liked anal 1:13

  • never knew spectre liked anal 1:13

  • never knew spectre liked anal 1:13

  • Huh? Where's TITANIC CARRIER? Where is she? Got so surprised when this dude popped out of my screen!

  • rorscrach DIARY WILL BE REBORN

  • actually the only thing that needs to be extended in a prequel movie is the Comedian, the owl and the Chick's and the douche's backstory. But i would love to see the comedian's action in the korean and vietnam war and his actions against the hippies.

  • Oh no!

    28 million dollars!?

    What a bad profit!

  • no no no no no noooooooo

  • wb already said they are going to reboot batman for the justice league

  • The characters had so much potential but were spoiled by the general feeling of the film. Beautifully shot and the effects were superb, but direction and acting took a dip. Maybe if they were made a little better they'd obviously be better films but will people be interested in seeing films about characters they saw first in a movie they thought little of?

  • They gotta have Jackie Earle Haley as roschach he was so bad ass

  • Personally i wanna know more about the 1st original Watchmen and know more about what happened to them rather then the replacements....cause when you think about it like half of the original members excluding 1st nightowl, dr. manhattan, 1st silk spectre and the comedian died a horrible/mysterious death or dissapeared without a trace.... would love to know what REALLY happened

  • Pointless, "Watchmen" is great the way it is. Both the Novel and the movie. I may not agree with Alan Moore's attitude towards the movie, but this time he makes a point. Again I say, did anybody learn anything from the "Star Wars" prequels. :/

  • I think they should respect he creators wishes and leave the franchise alone.

  • YES I LIKED THE FIRST ONE!!!....i don't mind a prequel or a sequel!!

  • the cover @ 1:14 looks like a porno cover just saying

  • As much as i love the watchmen characters, the movie wasn't all that good compared to the novel(saw movie first and read the novel after) first things first- fix the shit(by comparison) movie

talk to alan moore and dave gibbons and maybe we could talk about him making a "Before watchmen" little known fact the characters have always remained relevent

  • hey WARNER BROS. the people want SUPERMAN - make some good SUPERMAN movies start with MAN OF STEEL & do not stop, keep them coming ! ! ! & who & when is a reboot of LOGAN'S RUN gonna be made !?!?!

  • Unfortunately, I'm not a huge Watchmen fan. I didn't like the other one. =/

  • another fail franchise from dc, never fails to disappoint lol

  • I don't want to see a prequel... I want to see a sequel.

  • wanna go forward!!

  • Now everything is about money so they no gona care at all about the story line..they just want money!!

  • Gosh! Definitely will be avoiding this. Watchmen was bad enough. Don't need their history too.

  • @rbegum123 well said!!!

  • I've always wanted to see more Rorschach.

  • @antisaint380 you're obviously an idiot

  • @antisaint380 really? You think Nolan messed up Batman? What don't you like about his version?

  • @antisaint380 you uh.....youre kidding right?

  • @antisaint380 How did Nolan fuck up Batman? Next you're going to be saying that Schumacher made great batman movies.

  • @antisaint380 You must be lying (and a dick). Have you ever heard of Joel Schumacher?

  • @thegroove14 whos Joel shumacher???? lol hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha i sorry i cant keep a straight face

  • @antisaint380 I like Nolan's Batman and his reinterpretation (i prefer Burton's version but that is just MY OPINION) but i want to know why you don't like it? Just curious.

  • @antisaint380 WHOAH, my eyes burning right now from what ive just seen. Hpw did Nolan fucked the Batman. If anything he revamp the series and brought back from the dead. I understand the Green Lantern was Eh. and Superman well i dont know have to wait about that. But Nolan took all the stuff that wasnt real about Batman and made pretty much realistic. Im also a Marvel golden boy to, but Batman also got it.

  • @antisaint380 well sombody here is a marvel fan

  • @antisaint380 Marvel got the golden comic book movies? Have you seen Spider-Man 3, Fantastic Four, Iron Man 2 and Ghost Rider (among other adaptations that I can't remember)?

  • @antisaint380 wow lmao actually the suit wow im not a stereotypical person here but i can seriously picture now.

    in a basment,

    complaining.

with a shirt that says ' ohhh ladies , my spidey senses are tingling'

  • I'll read Nite Owl to give it a chance

  • no please!!!!!

  • Yo creo no perdemos nada con ver una precuela. Si sale horrible de todas formas tenemos la original.

  • yep its not just marvel out of ideas now, this just tells me that dc is even worse off.

  • @adamc725 How is Marvel out of ideas? They just started making movies out of their famous characters.

  • @animator297 not meaning the movies. the comics have kind of become less creative with random ethnic spiderman out of the equasion comics have hit stale storylines overall as focus shifts to the movies

  • hell on

  • what kind of name is that?

  • No hopping for it

  • I want the prequel

I love Alan Moor wizard and his cool snake god..

    but still, I want this.

  • they need to make a dark r-rated justice league movie

  • @christian1o812 that would be interesting. If you like a dark twisted look at the heroes. Check out the flashpoint Batman 3 issue story arc. You won't regret it. Trust me.

  • Comment removed

  • @christian1o812 they werent talking about the show Heroes you fucking retard haha

  • @SeaTolli22'yea ur right just because he added 'the' to it so makes it the most obvious thing in the world , i did the worst mistake ever thinking he was talking about Heroes which was probably the best dark superhero show next to misfits yea sorry im the biggest idiot ever just because he added a 'the' to it'' get some friends asshole its not the biggest mistake ever,so what i read it wrong...jeez ever hear of a thing called society? you need it cuz ur faggot attitude is gonna get you nowhere

  • @SeaTolli22 wow yea ....get a life and some friends, so what wow yea i made a little mistakr ''oh no''.....jeez what stupid asshole.

people like you are like bugs can be so annoying sometimes

  • @christian1o812 AHAHAHAHAHAHA you make this huge paragraph which i have not read and don't plan too, i just think its hilarious because someone with even the tiniest amount of intelligence wouldn't have read that wrong

  • @SeaTolli22 u smart bro? ....nah didn't think so k watever have fun trying to act tough on the internet and good luck to try and impress your friends..oh wait what friends want an annoying dick as a friend? oh and by the way retard it's not a paragraph, i didn't full stop and then waste a line of space, its just one big message wow idiot u should go back to school or are you still in?

  • @christian1o812 hahaha you're one funny guy

  • @ClevverMovies Why what's it about and what is the proper name for it? :D

  • @christian1o812 That would never sell. Batman can get away with being Rated R and even that is only to a limit.

  • watcthmen was awesome, haters go watch captain america and spiderman reboot and that shit

  • @chimbaman19 Agreed watchman kicked ass!

  • I'm agreeing with this guy; we did get a good amount of important back story from Watchmen itself...I can't see the "Before Watchmen" comics adding much of interest. But I'll probably give it a look regardless.

There's no doubt in my mind that Alan Moore will use his bearded wizard powers to strike the director down if they end up making a "Before Watchmen" movie though.

  • Dear DC stop fucking around and make connected DC movies we want not just Batman(not realistic) and Superman but Wonder Woman, The Flash, Martian Manhunter, Hawkman and Hawkgirl, a Green Lantern that's not a comedy with stupid CGI and Green Arrow.

  • when are these releasing?
