@BatmanOneOhOne the artwork he did for the team is...beautiful. ^^ Silhouette's fedora and trench makes me thing of her as..sort of a female version of The Spirit or Midnight. Dollar Bill kinda reminds me of Kronk from disney.

@odstspartans0ldier13 Na to be fair watchmen follows the book better than most comic book adaptions, the directors cut has more scenes from the book in it, other than the ending, the movie didn't change much of the story, rather it just left stuff out. The book was just too long to fit into film so alot of it was cut. Hell, it was over 2 hrs long.

One big thing that I can point out that wasn't in the movie was the whole man-made alien scenario. That is just one example though. :\

@96madridista Dude as long as the character is well developed and Nolan doesn't make him go Bomb.....Bomb. and as for "Realistic BS" dude Batman is the most realistic hero in the DC universe so it works and I'm sure you read Batman Year One or Long Halloween thats the same vibe sure the Nolan movies aren't perfect but they do what they do great, even the Burton films, Returns is sort of a bad example, as surreal as the city is, it tries to be realistic.
It has rumored for a while that they're be a second coming to the Watchmen movie and I figured they'd just go through and cover all the shit they left out in the book. Now they're just starting a whole new project. I still can't wait for these new comics though :D

The original graphic novel did enough on the back story of the characters and how the Minutemen started out through the closing excerpts from different fictitious autobiographies/write-ups with each chapter. This is completely unnecessary and I agree with both Moore and Joshua.
I love watchmen, so I'm going to love this. With all due respect to Mr. Moore, he's great, but his work isn't perfect. It just gets better when people contribute to it.

actually the only thing that needs to be extended in a prequel movie is the Comedian, the owl and the Chick's and the douche's backstory. But i would love to see the comedian's action in the korean and vietnam war and his actions against the hippies.
The characters had so much potential but were spoiled by the general feeling of the film. Beautifully shot and the effects were superb, but direction and acting took a dip. Maybe if they were made a little better they'd obviously be better films but will people be interested in seeing films about characters they saw first in a movie they thought little of?

I'm agreeing with this guy; we did get a good amount of important back story from Watchmen itself...I can't see the "Before Watchmen" comics adding much of interest. But I'll probably give it a look regardless.

The characters had so much potential but were spoiled by the general feeling of the film. Beautifully shot and the effects were superb, but direction and acting took a dip. Maybe if they were made a little better they'd obviously be better films but will people be interested in seeing films about characters they saw first in a movie they thought little of?

Personally i wanna know more about the 1st original Watchmen and know more about what happened to them rather then the replacements....cause when you think about it like half of the original members excluding 1st nightowl, dr. manhattan, 1st silk spectre and the comedian died a horrible/mysterious death or dissapeared without a trace.... would love to know what REALLY happened

Pointless, "Watchmen" is great the way it is. Both the Novel and the movie. I may not agree with Alan Moore's attitude towards the movie, but this time he makes a point. Again I say, did anybody learn anything from the "Star Wars" prequels. :/

As much as i love the watchmen characters, the movie wasn't all that good compared to the novel(saw movie first and read the novel after) first things first- fix the shit(by comparison) movie

I'm agreeing with this guy; we did get a good amount of important back story from Watchmen itself...I can't see the "Before Watchmen" comics adding much of interest. But I'll probably give it a look regardless.
There's no doubt in my mind that Alan Moore will use his bearded wizard powers to strike the director down if they end up making a "Before Watchmen" movie though.
